Mad morning rushing around, and passing on the food in the Battle of Trafalgar, meant I was a hungry man at the Amex. A veggie pie/pasty/whatever it is, is all I wanted. I'm not fussy.

"We had none delivered today, they're available downstairs though."

"Downstairs in the concourse inaccessible to me until after the match?"

"Yes."

****ing brilliant.

I checked all WSU outlets on a couple of occasions and each of them had empty slots where there should have been something made of pastry and containing no meat. How does this happen?

So here I am just after 6pm having my first food of the day.

So glad I didn't go today because of man flu. Not only did I avoid 10 hours driving but having no veggie food may well have been the "Falling Down" moment.

We'll no doubt now get a strongly-worded essay from PB (or his junior minister of information) lecturing us on just how difficult it is to sell pies and pints to punters at a football match. Meanwhile, another five figure sum of potential catering turnover is lost forever. Oh well, none of us will starve. It's only the bottom line that will truly suffer.

I actually prefer the taste of these ones with more onion, in the past I've tended to go for the Chicken or the guest as I found the steak slightly bland so I'll take one for the team and continue the pie meat survey/experiment!

Look on the bright side..... they took £36 at the 7 Stars on the door, so there is a plus side.

Bozza.
Do you have a special hotline to PB, to pass on the feedback of p***ed off fans due to the inadequacies at the concourse counters? Complacency having crept in after improvements in recent seasons.

As well as the poor customer service issue, the club are losing income.

Cheers.

so today in the north stand I had terrible problems with my cider and my pie.

first of all the cider (strongbow) I asked for took the staff ages to get for me. the lady who served me said that the strongbow pumps was having problems. then I noticed one of the managers behind the till pouring schweppes lemonade into all of the strongbows including mine. so I received my drink and it was awful, I took it back to a different kiosk and got a new pint and had the same problem, the drink also tasted weird and different, again I took this one to another kiosk and had it changed and the 3rd was no better so I just put up with it.

the chicken and ham pie had some black stuff inside it. this was my first bad experience with food and drink at the same time. i saw a lot of people sending drinks back. some pints had so much froth on top.

Which is nonsense. If you know your sales spikes it isn't difficult; it really isn't....it's easier.

This isn't aimed at you by the way.

I don't have to eat & drink at the stadium but, if possible, I like to. Something to eat and a couple of pints with mates helps stop the football getting in the way of going to the football.

Today's WSU effort was awful.

I arrived just as the concourse was opening, by the time i got to WSU, there was just one till open at each kiosk and, as such, the queue at each was almost back to the window

They were actually training staff to pour pints at the back of each kiosk so 'one the job' training after they'd actually opened.

Having seen the farce starting to occur, I gave up.

The club must have done the maths on this so I can only assume the current set up provides the club with the most £££. I can see no other reason for operating like this.

Looks like the pepper or mustard seeds have clumped together in a pie bursting with filling.

If you think that's bad you ought to try the utter shite I have to put up with in the Arthur at palace.

Would you prefer a calendar of piss stinking brick walled corrugated roofed toilets?
