Palace supposedly make derisory bid for Dunk

We've just signed a French International goalkeeper that many consider to be not far off the quality of Lloris, a capable centre back in Tomkins and an England international winger in Townsend. If we also get Benteke, which it looks like, then why on earth would you believe we are not capable of a top 10 finish? We finished 10th in the 2014/15 with a weaker squad to the one we have now.

It must be comforting to know that if it all goes wrong again you can just go into administration and start again. Bit like Football Manager where you just start a new game if it goes wrong.

£30m+ for Benteke, a striker who scored 9 goals last season. NINE. Wow.

And didn't the Palace fans bring out a petition last season demanding a warrant for his arrest and for the game to be replayed, after his injury time dive at Selhurst cost them the game ?

Now they all love him. Just like how they love all that Sky money which they used to hate as it was all part of modern football, which they hate, but now love. Look at how excited they all are now.

Palace fans aren't just fickle - they're positively bi-polar.

It is a real shame Benteke wasn't retrospectively banned at the end of the season for the supposed 'dive' as a result of pressure from Palace as it would have ended up punishing them.

To be fair a lot of Albion fans were adamant they would never want Murray back, yet you can bet your house if he hits the ground running and nets a few in the first 6 games he will be a hero again to the majority of fans. Football fans are fickle creatures by habit

Why are Liverpool getting rid..ask yourself that? He isn't choosing Palace over Liverpool is he? How do you as a Palace fan feel about spending that amount of money?

He doesn't fit Kloops system, simple.

It's the first time we have spent big, I have no problem with that as I trust Parish 100%

Now I have answered your question, please answer mine. Was he a flop at Villa?

Because he doesn't suit their style of play in any way, shape or form.

He will suit Palace's 100%. A lot of money, yes. But for Palace this is one heck of a potential signing.

Unfortunately this is spot on, if Palace get him he could be sensational with the wide players they have

No he got a move to a BIG club..but clearly on his way down! trust Parish? He sold out at the first opportunity..Wonder how your numerous creditors from your last 2 admins are feeling?

As already posted, Villa were a flop with Benteke. He'll fit right in with you.

There's the diving as well of course, which so enraged Palace fans. You pretend Wilf doesn't do it, now you can pretend Benteke doesn't either.

We finished 10th in 14/15. Do carry on

With respect I did this with another one of your shitty lot last year...

Indeed. There is only one team currently above Palace that they may finish above, and that is Watford. Below them are 4 clubs that you'd fancy to be above Palace by the time the season ends.

I see Palace as currently being in 13th spot, and they could well be 15th in the end. Significantly better placed than us of course - no one can dispute that, but I pity any of their fans who were buying the "challenging for Europe" crap.

13th? 15th? Why would the strongest Palace team we've had in decades finish lower than we did last year and the year before?

Because there are 12-14 stronger teams.

No, there aren't.

How did that last European-challenging league season work out for Palace?

The Townsend Benteke partnership could well see Palace finish top ten, or even higher IMO.

They're not a Championship team.
