If it weren't for Princess Diana, The People's Princess, we would have been.

i get the impression that Dunk has a publicity loving agent and always touts Lewis at transfer time. it's all a bit boring really - mind you could you imagine the hilarity of a Dunk/Stones combination when they both have their 'moments'? I do actually think that we could do better than Dunk.

How many other young yet experienced, ball playing, goal scoring, English centre halves can you name?

I'd imagine Lewis could have Sooty as his agent and they'd still be a lot of noise around him, each transfer window.

Just chatting with Dale Stephens this morning in a local gym, thanking him for his efforts last season. I said that we all hoped he would be staying next season. He didn't give too much away other than saying " I hope so, we'll have to wait and see"
A really nice chap and a pleasure to speak with

'We'll have to wait and see', says a lot more than, 'Yes, I'm looking forward to the next season to go again'.

Or "they've made me an offer for a new deal but I know I can get more so they need to come back with a better deal"

From past history with Murray & Barnes, we don't offer better contracts once offered. It's sign the first renewal or go.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

TBH I would be more concerned if it were Kayal who were off. Stephens is replaceable, but Kayal, I'm not so sure.

As good as the two of them are together, Stephens is only the water carrier, and even then he spills a fair bit.

Charlton's Cousins is potentially a very good replacement.

Stephens is a water carrier? Absolute rubbish. I'm constantly baffled by the opinions of some on this board. You mean the one goal scoring central midfielder we have. That water carrier?? I'd argue that defensive midfielders are not only easier to replace but considerably cheaper.

Calm down dear. 7 goals and 5 assists does not seem an irreplaceable tally.

If that's what we need, then Alan Judge with 14 goals and 11 assists would do.

All I am saying is that it would not be the end of the world if Dale did choose to go.

Yep, goal scoring central midfielders are easy to find and cheap to buy.
