Way out West
Using the war dead to try and substantiate your misguided transparent Remain camp agenda ... really?

Of course I have a Remain camp agenda! You don't have to read many of my posts to see which side I'm on. Extremism is on the rise largely because the far right are whipping up anti-immigrant sentiment. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Unfortunately, like it or not, the UK (or rather England) pulling up the drawbridge and telling the rest of Europe to pi$$ off will not solve any of the problems of extremism. We need to tackle these problems together, positively. People like Farage claiming there will be mass sexual assaults by immigrants just makes the problem 10 times worse.

Must confess I expected this poll to be 65/35 for "in" as Brighton really is as left as you'll ever get.
The strange thing is most socialist lefties should really be voting "out" as this is as close as you'll ever get to sticking your fingers up at the corporate machines who rake in the billions and in tern destroy European countries and mostly the poorer classes.

And, as I pointed out earlier in this thread, all left-wing parties do indeed support an Out vote

I am not sure NSC is as left as you get, and the users cover a bigger area than just Brighton and Hove

So the immigration/migration issue is fiction then?... and it's all the right wing causing all this conflict?... so there never was any mass new year sex attacks in Germany?..... thank God... I thought for a minute it was real.... I must have been dreaming....

You can keep pointing it out, but what you're pointing out surely isn't true ....

Both Socialist Parties, the Socialist Workers Party and the Communist Party are all in favour of an Out vote. Which left-wing party isn't? You could argue the Green Party, but they're always at pains to point out that they sit outside the left-right debate The SNP and Plaid Cymru incorporate elements of both left and right - they were both seen as outright fascist parties until relatively recently but both have moved leftwards since: I wouldn't call either a left-wing party though.

So, which left-wing party does favour a Remain vote?

Extremism both left and right is on the rise largely because policies many inextricably linked to the EU project, have left many people feeling disenfranchised. Their identity feels threatened when there is large-scale movement of people happening with no democratic legitimacy. They are the ones at the coal face who see the stresses and strains on local communities and local services not the bureaucrats or politicians in their ivory towers. Or many remain voters in their comfortable suburbs. People voted to end austerity they were ignored and given an impossible choice ending in mass unemployment and misery. Surprise surprise they look for more extreme alternatives. A majority want immigration reduced in the UK none of the main parties will address these concerns. The EU wants a border free zone and free movement without having secure external borders ... an extremists dream scenario, which they exploit.

By tackling problems together you mean Merkel saying the doors are open and everyone else paying the price both in rise of extremism, increased social tensions and financial cost.

There were probably people like (Herr)Farage saying mass sexual assaults were possible in Germany a 18 months ago ...

If we don't regain full control of and limit immigration to this country you will see Farage and his party prosper no matter the result of the referendum. I wouldn't consider them extreme but I expect you would.

EU policy is at the heart of fuelling extremism which the extremists are only to willing to exploit.

What's more important your country or your job?
Get a facking grip you selfish idiot:glare:

I'm sure those working at Citi will share you sentiment. As will further hundreds of thousands whose livelihood depend directly on access to the single market.

You presume this then?
Where was the EU in our previous recessions?
What is the EU doing to help the less fortunate countries?

So you saying we won't trade with Europe if we leave? Christ talk about how easily some get manipulated lol

How about...
We're British and we will prosper on our own and create loads more jobs and create our own trade deals by trading all over the world?

Where's your bloody backbone?

Historically the most accurate polls are the telephone ones. If all other polls had been excluded from the last election then pollsters would have been close to the result.

I'm pretty sure that 'remain' is ahead. Even just by talking to folk I've have worked with or socialise with there seems to be about a 60/40 split.

Strangely, though, I'd say the NSC poll is a good indicator. There's a splendid cross section of society here.

People whom I work with all want out. Family and friends too. Out .

So they are extending the register deadline. To me that's wrong. People have known for weeks when the deadline was and decided to rush at the last minute. Allegedly crashing the website. Well if you missed out that should have been tough luck.Apparently the remain camp are delighted by it. They'll do anything to win. Vote rigging anyone?

Citigroup have got a lot more to worry about on June 23rd than Brexit. They are probably trying to divert attention from the banking stress results published that day,and the consequent inevitable drop in their share price as they fail, yet again!
