Now now don't be shy, you love the EU.

The EU can only posture on the wider European political stage because of NATO. The ultimate insurance policy.

And is that posturing adding to security? It can be argued the EU were at least partly responsible for inflaming the Ukraine crisis as they made overtures encouraging Ukraine's future EU membership which led to a predictably unpleasant response from Putin.

Extremism is on the rise in many places across Europe, the EU is part of the problem not the solution. The EU's drive for ever closer Union is causing political instability and economic instability (Eurozone crisis).

Using the war dead to try and substantiate your misguided transparent Remain camp agenda ... really?

The last line was nasty even by your standards. You were responding to a gently-worded post you happened to disagree with. The poster simply mentioned his concern that we might risk the peace that has been with us since the terrible events of WW2.

Strangely, though, I'd say the NSC poll is a good indicator. There's a splendid cross section of society here.

Really??.... mostly male, mostly working class, mostly living in leafy Sussex, mostly in work, mostly white British.... hardly a diverse group.

Government to introduce emergency legislation to extend voter registration deadline

The government is going to introduce emergency legislation to ensure people registering to vote today can have their applications accepted, Sky News has reported.

Didn't someone ( Maldini ) say you reminded them of a whiny girlfriend? :D

Last time I looked, leafy Sussex 'tended towards Eurosceptic'. Working class (your term), white and male are also Eurosceptic-pointers. 'Mostly in work' isn't.

My problem with your assessment is that you are using common social delineations. All the above is probably correct, but whether it defines the viewpoint of NSC is in question. Some social commentators would argue that it should, but my experience on here suggests otherwise. My interpretation of 'diverse' is based upon a person's perception of the world rather than a socially constructed perception of them.

For that reason I maintain that NSC is diverse.

Does anybody actually believe anything from You Gov anymore?

Maybe not - although the poll quoted in the FT had over 16,000 respondents, so it should be reasonably reliable. But we know that polls aren't always right. What we know for certain is that every single SNP MP supports Remain. This may give a clue to how Scots will vote (or may not).....

Must confess I expected this poll to be 65/35 for "in" as Brighton really is as left as you'll ever get.
The strange thing is most socialist lefties should really be voting "out" as this is as close as you'll ever get to sticking your fingers up at the corporate machines who rake in the billions and in tern destroy European countries and mostly the poorer classes.
