Were you around in 1983

Yes I was. Unlike The Internet.

No, the Internet was around in 1983. It was on 1 January 1983 that the Internet Protocol became the standard for transmission. It was also in 1983 that the Domain Name System (the means by which IP addresses are translated into Internet domain names) was invented.

And all this was going on while we were on the start of our decline to the fourth division and on our way to the cup final. And, yes, I was there

83 was the year that got me into the albion, the 2 cup final games was the first time I felt the magic. With the exception of the last few seasons It's been rubbish ever since

Despite watching regularly from 1969, I think I saw us play in division 1 only once - over the Christmas period at home in 1980 . I was working Saturdays and evenings from 79, then living overseas from 82, but to be honest, I didn't really enjoy live footy much at the time.

Yes, saw the Albion first when I was 12 in 1972. Took a while for the bug to bite but was going regularly by 76, just in time for the glory years

My footballing ambition remains to see the Albion play in Europe before I peg out. We came so close in 83, and I remain ever hopeful that they can go one step further with a cup win or fair play or whatever. What an experience that would be.
If United were winning Trophies in the 80's like they have done in recent times it would of been CWC as runner up in the 83 Final.

Just left Oxford Poly and had given up football during that time. Living in a really grotty bedsit (bed bugs included) on the Brighton/Hove border. Sat down to watch the cup final with a couple of tins. The electric ran out and I didn't have a 50p so walked down to the offie to get some more tins and some 50p's. Halfway there the town just went mad, there was shouting and screaming coming from everywhere. Unbelievable. I still think I was in the very best place when THAT goal was scored. You would not believe the noise.

I certainly was. 22 in 1983. Went to cup final with a couple of fellow fans, we all lived in Ipswich at the time and set up a local supporters club, travelling with a good few local fans to games at the Goldstone.

Got back from 2 years in Australia Day before Final. Polytechnic squat in North Peckham which 5 Hove Grammar School mates had come to doss down in. They all had tickets, of course. TV blew up 20 minutes into game and had to wheel in the neighbours TV. Went to Wembley on the Sunday, I think, for the replay tickets and the rest is history.

Yes, I was at the FA Cup Final and the replay, didn't go to the tie at Liverpool but did see us beat them at The Goldstone a few weeks after 1983 ended

Same for me for. Was also at Anfield in 1991 when 2-0 down and came back to 2-2 Johnny Byrne equalising. Excellent madness in the stand.
