I thought he did alright. His finishing wasn't great, but at least he shot, but he looked extremely lively when he came on. He's got pace and is a live wire; he's someone to throw on when we need something to happen.

Although I fully agree and thought he played well, for 1.5 million quid I'd like a regular starter not "someone to throw on when we need something to happen".

Raw if you are being polite.

Dog shit if you are honest.

You hope to see a lot more for 1.5million. At least Solly showed his class today.

That's very noble, thank you. However I still think Baldock offers a lot and more to come. Not ready to jump on the growing bandwagon yet.

You're too kind. 2 goals in 16 Championship appearances in a side which creates a fair few chances (esp at home) is not particularly impressive in my eyes.

You could tell at the end he was gutted he missed 2 decent chances, for the club to pay 1.5million for him he must have something.
He completely roasted there right back when he was unlucky that the ref gave a free kick. He did make one sloppy pass which nearly put them in. He snatched at 2 good chances which was poor tho. Lets give him a bit more of a chance before ripping into him tho aye.

Unlucky!! I thought that was in the top 3 worst refereeing decisions ever at the Amex

Never the player ran across Manu in an attempt to stop him, probably an indirect free kick to Manu for obstruction.
This is how I saw it; although the player went to floor, didn't he? I think he thought he was just going to slide tackle it into touch but mid-judged Elvis's pace. A more experienced player would have taken the foul and possibly even got the player sent off.

Did you think it was a foul on the defender ?

No hence being one of the top three worst ref decisions at the Amex ever the defender tried to foul him and ended up on the floor had it been in the middle of the park a red card would have been the right decision if Elvis had gone down.

If he can get his composure and or shooting boots on, I expect you're right. I was disappointed with his shots, but as I've said, 10 minutes of game time is nothing. Solly has had many games and while he's clearly got skill, I didn't think he was ready to preform at the level needed to challenge for the title, but he's proving me wrong there.

I've been saying for a while that if Solly can develop composure so that his shooting and final ball improves, he's going to be one hell of a player. He's young, there's plenty of signs that he is developing it; it's just a question of how far he goes along that route.

Is it too early to judge? On his, albeit brief, performances to date I'm struggling to see why we bought him.

Probably because he played for Holland at u16 u17 u19 u20 & u21, last year played for Feyenoord scoring 12 goals in 35 appearances including 1 goal in the Champions league and 4 in the Europa league and because the club thought he was a good prospect.

fwiw, I'm struggling too!
