Yes you are correct, but most football fans call it the " World Cup "
We don't call the FA Cup, the FA Cup sponsored by ( insert who ever is this years sponsor here ) *

* I really can't remember, care or be bothered who is the current sponsor, as it will always be The FA Cup to me.

On another note my Facebook feed was overflowing with Rugby related guff last night, after the game I cheekily posted on one thread asking what the score was because I had been watching Ipswich v Brum, the apoplectic rage that post induced was hilarious. I even got defriended by someone I didn't even know liked Rugby after being accused of being unpatriotic! All very chucklesome indeed.

Why ? In terms of respect to the ref, only the captain can approach them to query a decision. Wouldn't mind seeing the sin bin introduced for certain yellow offences either.

Have you given it a chance? I didn't used to like Rugby either. Then a friend started playing for Worthing and I started going down to watch him and I started to learn things about the game from others that did at the ground so I knew what was going on.

In terms of a Union game, it was dull, but as I said on the official match thread last night "Hat's off to the Fijian defence, worked tremendously hard at every break down to force us to make an error and ELEVEN Turn overs. "

TBH I don't like lots of other sports, F1, golf , snooker and most athletics.
But i enjoy watching all levels of football from my sons u-12 and u-18s teams, non- league Sussex teams and of course BHA.

Fair play for trying, and I probably would feel the same had I only tried to get into the sport on TV too.

If you, or anyone else for that matter, do think about trying to get into sport, I would suggest getting along to either Worthing, Haywards Heath, Brighton or Hove Rugby clubs. All very friendly places with people willing to explain what's going on and at a level good enough to start off with.

More like rugby os a game played in a very small amount of countries and in all of those countries except maybe Wales and New Zealand, it is a minority sport. Football however is a game that has been played by most men on the planet at sometime in their life and it is difficult to think of a country where it is not the most popular sport.
