lol at Brighton. know your place please!

Brighton who are in the Championship?!

Hell no...

Who are Brighton to bid for one of the most talented players in the Eredivisie?

Brighton are ****. Plus, they hardly ever spend any money, I was shocked to see them offer Alireza £1.4m. The rest of the team are crap and I don't think there's any chance of promotion.

There are many negative points about him going to Brighton (if he does). However, the only positive I see from it is that, Alireza will be Brighton's best player.

If he goes to Brighton you can be sure that he most likely will never become anything more than an average Eredivisie player at most.
The team is absolutely crap and he will sink in the Championship with them.

When your teams and players have scaled the heights of football like so many Iranian teams and players have it's hard not to agree

The names just trip of your tongue like errr and umm errr and um , help me out here guys I must have had a memory lapse

That's brilliant. Because, of course, so many Iranian players have gone on to become worldwide stars....

If they watched our goal of the season top ten from last term, then I can understand where they are coming from. Nine completely average goals and one cracking one by Ince. The bold bit sounds promising if he does sign.

In fairness some of those quotes could have been pulled from this esteemed forum at various times last season.

You can see his point there, anyone watching videos of last season's games could be forgiven for assuming we'd be toilet again.

Indeed Ace. It sounds as though the Persian Prince and various other European concerns have 'got our number.' Time to switch our attentions back to the Craig Noones of this world.

Funny how these Man United 'fans' from third world shitholes know all about Brighton and the Championship eh..

Or they've just looked at a table and decided we're shit based solely on that and the fact that we don't have any ex-United/Barcelona players. Definitely one of the two.

The people that know **** ALL about anything and couldn't even point out the city 'their' team plays in on a map are always the loudest ones.

If he's so brilliant, why has nobody else come in for him?

Is the Eredivisie not the league I thought it was?

Some of those comments would make you think that we're bidding for a La Liga starlet. Instead, we're looking to become part of the now grand tradition of stripping a second-rate (though historically important) top division of its prized young assets and giving them a crack in a different (and more exposed) nation.

Doesn't the Championship get watched by far more people than the Eredivisie? ???

AZ would get smashed on a cold Tuesday evening, even in L1 .

He wasn't even in the Eredivisie last season, he was in the Eerste Divisie, their second tier. He was its player of the season though, and got NEC promoted.

Where's all this Persia stuff come from? Persia stopped being Persia long before Alireza Jahanbakhsh was born - and how come it's in English? Don't they have their own language(s) to use? I'm just wondering who actually uses the Persian football site.

18.5K is their average attendance, which is 1K more than the Championship last year, but bumped up a lot by Ajax and Feyenoord getting 49K and 45K respectively.

Significantly, the average salary is 4.4K a week, so definitely less than our first team regulars.

It's certainly not a backwards step in terms of player quality, crowds and money.
