You can stuff that, the real action was at the Dauphine.

A true best of British performance there today  Love seeing wins in that fashion.

It was great wasn't it. I think I scared a few of my work colleagues shouting him home while I was supposed to be working.

Where is the best place for race highlights?

Any Youtube channels, or links? Wouldn't mind seeing Peter's superb win yesterday.

ITV4 are showing Dauphine highlights. Tonight's offering starts at 7pm and are an hour long :)

Not sure if anyone's interested, but a quick heads up anyway for the Eastbourne Cycling Festival this weekend. SB, maybe some racing for jnr?

Talking of heads up. Looks like ITV4 are really stepping up their cycling coverage this year. The rest of the Dauphine stages are being broadcast live even!, as well as their highlights package. Womens ToB coverage coming up too. All great news for those of us without Eurosport, and best of all, no Carlton Kirby to suffer through either

Did British Cycling help put it together for him as well?
A fair few of the older kids (cat A & B) ride for Preston Park, between them mummy and daddy have shelled out a fair few thousands on their bikes.

It's nice to see 2 girls in with the younger ones (cat C D & E) giving their bikes and some of the boys plenty to think about.

Is that track 'legal'?
We go outdoor racing on a go-cart track, for juniors.

Part of the Surrey and Sussex league.

It's good fun, a little rough round the edges but the kids get plenty of racing.
Apparently some events are so driven towards the winners, the other kids hardly get any race time.

The course is 0.3 miles long.
Tonight there was just short of 20 kids, spread across the 5 categories.

Jnr Stat had a 5 lap scratch race, 2 5 lap handicaps & a 1 lap TT.

Ah ok that makes sense!

Sounds like a really good event for the younger generation.

Hello!
I'm after a set of 700 x 25 tyres for my wife's road bike. She's off to do a century without me in 6 weeks so I want to fit a pair of tyres which are puncture resistant, fast, and above all easy to fit / unfit if she needs to.

I'm currently thinking Durano Plus, but I'm not sure how easy they are to fit - any clues or other ideas would be useful.

Loads of options here? Any particular reason for 25s? What's the budget? How important is puncture resistance versus rolling nicely?

I've got Gatorskin Hardshells at the moment. Had been using them for winter and they seem bomb proof tyres, but they roll so well I've just kept them on now. Solid all round tyre.

I always ride 23s, but I get the feeling I'm a little out of date and should swap to 25s. It seems all the research shows 25 is quicker, but 23 or 25 is probably not a deal breaker.

The key issue is how easy it would be for my wife to get the tyre off and on if she needs to swap a tube. The priorities are:
1) Ease of removal
2) Puncture resistance
3) Roll well

Budget isn't too much of an issue as I always seem to find tyres in sales, but probably wouldn't go above £70 for a pair.

A bit of the first will depend on her rims/wheels. I've found continentals ok to get off/on so gatorskins might be a good option. Good tyre levers is the other essential!
