Fifa ethics judge Hans-Joachim Eckert and lawyer Michael Garcia have agreed to release full copies of reports into alleged World Cup bidding corruption to the organisation's compliance chief.

Domenico Scala will put selected evidence to Fifa's Executive Committee.

The body will then "evaluate which steps are required", leaving the door open to a possible re-vote.

er, sorry what? they will deign to provide the report to their own compliance cheif... who then select what evidence may go before a committee ? are they fecking serious? simply setting anothr whitewash hoping no one will notice and we'll all pretend they arent corrupt after all, when all their behaviour tells us they are deperatly trying to cover up somthing.

Sony have dropped their sponsorship of the FIFA, this is probably more to do with them moving out of the TV market than any moral stance, although they did insist that FIFA carry out the initial investigation.

They would have to resign and then form a completely new association and all of the clubs would have to agree or they couldnt play football against anybody. The refs would also have to leave as they would have no officials, the leagues would all have to leave. Existing rules do not permit affiliated teams to play against non affiliated teams and the same with officials. It would be a complete break down and change of football as we know it.

Not at all... new association, new rules... All they have to do is create FIFA2 (or should that be FIFA15?) and say in their rules "we accept any official affiliated to FIFA or FIFA2 to officiate FIFA2 sanctioned matches".

That way you allow for a mass migration of officials. Do something similar with clubs/nations and FIFA is suddenly left very high and dry.

I love the way FIFA always go on the attack in a puerile attempt to deflect corruption charges from themselves. How much money do these corrupt gits NEED? Why can't they just take up a career in banking like the rest of their cronies?

People working in Sports Governance will always choose to pressure/influence/advice main sources of income to an organisation if they want change within the organisation.

I think Sony got out because they are dropping their TV business and are losing money in most of their electronic divisions rather than it being a stand against Fifa.

It's just incredible isn't it. There is absolutely no recourse. Having literally been found to be utterly corrupt, they simply switch the decision, deny any appeal and carry on. I'm struggling to think of a corollary in the real world, but there is nowhere where the corruption is as utterly brazen​ as at FIFA.

What a disgrace. So they don't ACTUALLY claim Garcia's accusations are false....but instead respond with a "well Eckerts summary isn't actually legally binding anyway so WHATEVS"

I've got to the point where I actually APPLAUD the sheer TWATISHNESS of them.

It takes real DEDICATION and just sheer obnoxiousness to get to their level.

Break away and form WIFA (World International Football Association) and relocate HQ to London or Berlin. Make offer to UEFA to join and then ask other association s to disband, form new independent regional organisations and then apply for selection to WIFA along with a full policy statement on transparency and their stance on anti-corruption measures.
