No, no, no, NSC hates Gus Poyet, for reasons no one is really sure of.

Is it because he refused to turn up for work but still expected the club to pay off the remainder of his contract and took them to court when they didn't?

Brighton factually.....
Sorry have we signed him yet ?

Sorry instead of statement of intent signing at the start of the season, it smacks of a statement of desperation from a team battling relegation.

Shoot me down by all means , if he was that good someone else like Forest, Norwich, or another struggling premiership team would have signed him.

Maybe but all those teams you mention have better options than us with scoring strikers .

Worth the risk to get us to jan . Let's face it , not going to be worse than we've been getting up front is it

Wow without trawling through this entire thread is that truly how long until jan ? That is desperation if true, not only that if he did start setting the woods on fire someone else will come in with more money and guzzump us.

Pah I just got up, maybe I'm being too harsh.

:lol::lol::lol:

Certain Brighton and Hove Albion fans have an infinite capacity to knock the club whatever they do; there is no ray of sunshine that cannot be explained away as a false dawn; no action that cannot be twisted into a desperate measure.

It would appear that the Seagulls, who have been struggling to score goals all season, are about to sign a Premier League striker; not just ANY Premier League striker, but the man who is 22nd on the list of all-time Premier League goalscorers. A man who has been transferred for more than ₤50million during his career. A goalscorer who has averaged better than a goal every 3 games at Premier League level. A player who is still only 30 years of age, who last played Premier League football TWO DAYS ago.

And yet still they moan: he's crap, he's useless, he won't fit the system, he's not worth the money, he can't be any good if he's signing for us, why hasn't someone else signed him?

You Mongers of Doom will find ways to hate WHATEVER the club do. Enjoy your wallowing, my morose comrades; whilst you stew in your self-imposed straitjackets of woe and despair, desperately hoping for individuals to fail in order to invoke your catalogue of told-you-so's, I choose to bathe in the rejuvenating energy of hope, positivity and expectation.

It's a quarter past midnight here, I'm just off to bed

The nights are certainly chilly now, temps dropping to low 40s, but the forecast is for a high of 84 on Thursday (Thanksgiving).

Have a good day yourself, I hope that when I wake up the deal has been completed.

I'm guessing the reason why Villa would not be willing to loan Bent to another Premier League struggler is the same reason Mourinho didn't let Arsenal have Ba on loan last season. The fear of the unknown. It could well come back to haunt them. The Championship is a safer haven.

All of this is absolutely spot on...on the upside I'm grateful my life doesn't centre around whinging about everything. I'd like to feel sorry for the afore mentioned Mongers of Doom but I'm pleased they're suffering.
So AZ, I'd like to join you whilst bathing....but promise to keep your pants on! (unless your a girlie, then feel free)

So Darren Bent on a possible loan until Jan and some people are still moaning who the bloody hell do you think we might sign instead, I know Ronaldo was tempted but Jesus this is a win/win situation if it works could have the impact Roberts had at Reading (some would be slagging that signing) if it don't 5 weeks wages and a thanks but no thanks.
I have been more than critical of the recent transfer debacle but the club appear to be trying to address the issues and still some are not happy.

I can't say I'm jumping up and down with delight, but that's probably because of the morose mood our season has put me into. Nevertheless, it shows intent. It will be down to whether the player sees this as an opportunity to get on the radar again and whether Sami can fire him up. Both have some work to do here.

....hope he's not sat at home pondering the move and checking NSC out just to see what the fans are like. 'Well I was quite happy to give the ambitious but struggling championship side a go at their great stadium, get a bit of first team football and a few goals for a few weeks and maybe longer term if it works out, but it looks like they are such a whingeing bunch of miserablists I think I'll look elsewhere'...........
