Actually, it probably could. After all, we're still a Premier League club and you're a struggling Championship outfit.

Not for long pal ! Ha ha ha

That's actually quite funny. I point out the facts I've learned by talking to fans of other clubs over a period of more than 20 years and I'm accused of lying to myself. Well done. I feel suitably chastised.

My Darlington supporting mate put it best. When you say the name of a club they're either "proper" or "winky wanky" in your head. Guess which category Palace fall into for everyone apart from their supporters.

It's not even a Brighton v Palace thing, it's just fact.

Do these "friends" also tell you what a great bloke you are and that you are the best lover ever?

Tell us about your myriads of friends then? Have you just left them at the ministry of sound so you can come home and post some more tedium on NSC at 2am?

Careful now, you can banned from here if you mock the disabled or underprivileged, even if there as easy a target as a Palarse fan.

This. I have worked all over the country and whenever the subject of Palace comes up the usual response is that they're two bob. Brighton, on the other hand, seem to be widely liked and a lot of football people recognise our epic struggles.

I'm surprised most people have heard of little old Brighton.
Keep taking those drugs !

Ahh, you're talking about the location !
Here's me thinking it was football related, my mistake.

The football club is an avatar for the location...can you think of Liverpool without LFC or Manchester without United or city?. Well, you could lie I suppose but I honestly don't think you can.

When one thinks of Brighton and Hove Albion one thinks of Britains most prosperous cities, fun and liberalism...one also thinks fondly of the tribulations and struggles with adversity, faced with honour and creativity of the football clubs supporters.

When one thinks of Crystal Palace one thinks, inevitably, of Croydon. A run down parish south of Brixton plagued by social strife and arson. The football club is considered a joke notable for getting raped by Liverpool 9-0 or whatever it was and Cantona Kung Fu..your team play in clown suits and your chairmen are ludicrous poseurs like Tango man and Prince Charming. You keep going bankrupt and robbing your most faithful sponsors and support teams. Seriously, do you want to get into this?

Your most successful manager in years dropped you like a hot turd 48 hours before the season started ffs and, since then, you've been snubbed by Sherwood, Moyes and a raft of other UNEMPOYED managers and the one bloke you wanted turns out to be a racist homophobe and anti Semite. Your club is a total joke mate.

Most people wouldn't have thought of Brighton as a football town until TB started pumping in his millions to achieve his Premier dream.
Without his financial assistance, you'd be another Bournemouth, a little seaside club, but a great day out.
Like a lot of you on here, your hatred of Palace shines through, but I can understand the frustration of playing second fiddle to our tin pot club.
Chin up.

No. Not hatred. I genuinely pity you. Whenever I see one of your harlequin shirts being worn I think " oh you poor soul" I am frustrated. I think that, despite all of the shenanigans off the pitch your players have done an amazing job. You did a number on us AGAIN and got into the PL at our expense...one of the worst days in my footballing life. So you are BETTER than us. In footballing terms at least.

That does not detract from the fact that everyone who is not Palace by virtue of family heritage or locality thinks you are a ridiculous joke of a club. You're going to have to concede that point I'm afraid.

And you have posted 1,846 times on here because you are a devoted Palace fan. Why don't you go and commiserate with your mates on BBS?

Brighton factually.....

You gotta say he does, and what makes it funny is he thinks it's not....

Just admit it you hate Palace, it's not a crime....

I don't hate Palace, I would call it a strong dislike, I reserve hate for the likes of John the Jihadist and his like.

Lots of people were very complimentary about Palace last year and the fact that TP has believed his own hype and wants the Newcastle job won't derail us.

Brighton have been a joke for as long as I can remember. Way before the troubles of 1997 when your pit of a ground was thankfully shut. Lots of fans love going to the Amex as it's so welcoming, sums you lot up. It's a theme park not a football ground.

On the pitch? We make you look mugs on the pitch every time, apart from an eventually meaningless game in April 2013. And what do your fans do? Trudge off early to get home early. Sussex has as much relevance to football as fish and chips has to fine dining.

I'm still waiting for TB's football revolution to start, give me a nudge when you beat anyone decent.

A bit more substance than I expected, mixed with the usual politeness http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...t-turned-into-the-grand-national-9686687.html

Essentially, didn't really want to go, felt Mackay was their choice, would have taken it if offered it soon after the interview, but it has dragged on too long, too many new names coming out all the time. Didn't like that his being interviewed was made public. Usual 'great club, great fans, great players' fluff everyone says in interviews.

Yes everyone thinks we are jokes and look on BHA as a powerhouse of footballing excellence.

5 years ago, that would have been a great sarcastic put-down. Unfortunately it is getting less sarcastic with every season since :ffsparr:
