So that's why palace didn't take Malkay.

You have got to laugh :D What a carry on!

Glad Moody has gone, Always looked 'odd'. Looks like we dodged a bullet with MM, I'm just surprised Tan didn't wait until we had appointed him before spilling the beans on the pair of them to **** us up a bit more. Maybe the news was leaked back to Palace by a journalist or someone at the FA before we let Malky sign the contract.

Tan's case against us will not make it to court, In my completely unqualified legal view.
I think you have a good point there. It would indeed have been EVEN more disastrous if you'd already appointed MM.

Agree with some of your points...but think you'll find there is a difference in SAYING and WRITING down your views.

But these two were not writing their views down as such, the comments were made via texts that have now been put in the public domain.

I need to clarify myself here I'm not defending these two idiots or the content of the texts I'm simply defending people's rights to text whatever they choose in private.

I think the lesson to be learned from this is: if you fall out with your former employer and you had previously used a work phone/computer to send texts/e-mails that would put you in a compromising position, throw the bloody thing in the nearest large body of water.

Palace contact Chelsea coach Drummy (there's a name rope for micky taking) as they seek a new manager, according to SSN. Do they not want Sherwood either?

Exactly. If you are using any form of communication owned by your employer the communications you make aren't private. Would Cardiff - or any other - employer approve of such sentiments? Hopefully not!

And even if they were made on privately owned devices you always run the risk of them becoming public. So no sympathy with either of them.

agreed once you "write" it down - you have a problem.

Didn't see that one coming! Still, it does rather explain the sudden and puzzling departures from Cardiff last season. I still don't like Vincent Tan, though - hope the Bluebirds get their proper identity back soon.

Slightly uncomfortable about the privacy aspect too.

I am not sure how you deem any of these messages as private. In all instances they appear to be representing the business of Cardiff City football club.

Why would anyone go looking for evidence like this, if it wasn't to corroborate conversations that other people had been party to over the way these two conducted their banter ?

I think that the issue is that said "banter" has been transmitted electronically, and fortunately/unfortunately, once somebody has transmitted a comment in this way it appears that is is then in the public domain. Text messages and e-mails, even those that you would deem as private, again appear to have the same relevance as a Twitter or Facebook posting, whilst obviously not as in your face as these mediums.

If what is alleged to have been sent had been said in between them in a pub, without anyone overhearing, then no one would be the wiser.

Whilst I do not think that what is alleged to have been sent is discriminatory in itself, it certainly appears to show that the two individuals themselves do not appear to have enlightened views on minorities within the society that the live in and work in. I would certainly be uncomfortable working for individuals who saw other people in the light that they have allegedly shown.

Even when it's two workers for the same company discussing potential future employees? - "Not many white faces amongst that lot but worth considering." ???

Perhaps you misheard and he really said "I wouldn't allow Dean White near the team" :)

When I started a thread about this subject, but didn't name the PL manager making such comments a few months ago, I was accused of being a BAD MOD and forced to take the thread down. :(
