Sully was good but I call him as a midfielder. His beauty was he did not make the first obvious pass and held on to the ball before choosing what to do.

I thought he was more of a winger when he first arrived but dropped back a bit as the years went on? Absolute wand of a left foot, fantastic player to watch.

We only have The Sun as a ground source for this. A bit like Fillip Kostic....

Remember how Poyet boasted about "stealing" Bridcutt? Which Sunderland did.
Hopefully the board have learnt their lesson so if he wants Buckley they'll have to come back with three times the reported offer.
Problem then is how does the club replace one of our best players within a FFP wage structure?

The only problem with Buckley is his susceptibility to injuries, which means he'd probably fail a medical, and return unhappy. If his body has recovered enough to pass a medical, then he'll go on to be a great player, and we'd regret selling him.

Just like we have done with the millions we got for Ulloa . . . not yet we haven't. We got the money in the bank so we should have targets. If the targets are from the PL we should bring in someone when the Pl teams name their squads. If they are not PL the targets should be in now. Don't get rid of Buckley unless a better replacement is signed.

He's been rubbish for 18 months, just the odd flash of form. March is better right now in my opinion. However, we do need strength in depth.
