As much as I would like to have our squad complete by now, i don't there is a team in the league who could say they have. It's still a month before we kick a ball in anger and I hope we have at least the minimum we need (Goalkeeper, Left back, Centre back and attacking midfielder) by then.

It's a shame that any new players weren't brought in early enough to go out to Spain with the squad though, as that is an ideal opportunity to bond and develop a team spirit, as well as work on the style we intend to play this season.

I agree, in an ideal world this would happne, but for a club of our means this never happens. I think we have a decent first XI and hopefully we will not get too many injuries in the first month of the season.

We've still got over 4 weeks before a ball is kicked in anger, have some patience. At least wait another 3 weeks before wetting the bed (if you can't help yourself) and even then we still have a squad that's good enough to be beating Sheffield Wednesday on AUGUST the 9TH.

The same Sheff Weds we couldn't beat over two games last year? We may have the team to beat them but we have a seriously weakened squad at the moment.

The reason that club have been unable to bring in any players is due to Bozza being on holiday in the US, thus taking a key part of the process (the tantalizing hints on here and twitter) out of the loop. I have been led to believe that the club are interviewing today for a replacement 'social media hinter' to cover for him. Hopefully normal service will be resumed soon.

Hardly the only first team players we've lost is Kuszczack and Ward, Chicksen and Ankergren are sound enough replacements in the short term should it be needed.

We have plenty of time, OVER 4 weeks intact. The club want to bring in the right players not just any players.

Do you think then that the two players Sami expected at the club last weekend and with him in Spain now, were not going to be the right type of players? Surely the players Burke would have told Sami we were signing, would have been in the right quality of player category?

I don't think we're waiting on the Ulloa deal for the budget, we "should" have a very good budget at the moment what with the Jan sales and the release of the majority of the high earners. Any money from the Ulloa deal would be a bonus although not needed for us to get our targets.

At the moment I should imagine our top targets are seeing who else is interested before deciding who to sign for. That's the calibre of signing we're looking to make.

Wondering what the value of the week away in Spain is, if the 6 - 8 players we still need aren't even there.

Perhaps a good candidate for FFP money saving next year.

What about Upson, Orlandi, Lopez, Ridriguez, & Lingard they all played their part in the first team last season and hav'nt been replaced. All we've replaced so far is Walton for Brezovan and Toko for Andrews.

I think the biggest saving we could make is axing the head of recruitment, Bit of a pointless job at the Albion.

Did we ever replace ElAbd, Barnes and Barker on top of that list?

Rodriguez replaced Barnes, but of course he now needs replacing.

I guess the club feel that Maksimenko / Rea / Dallison will be the replacement for ElAbd, and become 4th choice central defender.

Barker ( and Dickenson ) hasn't been replaced.
