Yes but the lickers will say barber is doing a fine job. The fact we have to managers walk out the door and now the new one is exabiting characteristics of the last 2 is pure coincidence to the barber apologists.

I never had you down as a bedwetter, Looney, but you are beckoning one. Your anti-Bloom agenda is tiresome.

All the people demanding they must hear from the club and they must know this, and they must know that- how on earth did you cope supporting the Albion before 1997, when the club didn't speak to the fans at all?

In the Argus today it says that he is content to leave the background work on identifying targets to David Burke and his scouting network. Hyppia will have the power to veto or approve names on the list, aswell as putting names forward. I really cant see any problem with that.

Quite insulting response in my opinion.

I give up on this particular 'discussion'.
I guess we'll have to look out for your calm, level headed, rational opinions elsewhere now.

There is nothing wrong with that and is the way the club has been working for some time. At least he understands this already, which is more than many on here appear to anyway (not you).

Why do we have so many bed wetters as fans these days?

That's rather harsh. Given we've lost two very good managers in quick succession and funding appears partly to blame it's hardly bedwetting to question a statement by our new manager that as first reading appears to suggest there could be a problem funding. Even more so given what Archer did to us so many years go - and no, I'm not suggesting Bloom will do the same but it's prudent to question everything put out by the club.

It would be interesting to know what is happening at the moment. The calibre of player we are looking at are surely not strutting their stuff in Brasil. It's all very quiet on the transfer front through out the Football League.

I'm sure the relevant bods are working tirelessly and Hyppia has been told what he can and can't afford. He joined saying he loved our ambition, he's not going to then say we don't have the means to meet his desires, unless he has been duped.

Sadly, there are too many clubs with megabucks and they will price us out.
Don't be so pessimistic, I'm sure there are a couple of tasty Iranians or Algerians that we're keeping tabs on.

:)

Bridge, Upson, Ulloa, Ward, Crofts, Stephens, Bruno, Orlandi, March, Ince, Lingard etc etc. All poor signings as well no doubt.

I'm not anti-Burke, but I didn't really see the point in one of them (Lingaard) and Bridge, Bruno, Orlandi and March were signed before Burke was appointed, Ulloa had already been identified, and we'd already had Crofts once.

David Burke was appointed in Jan 2012. The vast majority of the current squad was signed after that from my recollection.

Blimey there's some big leaps in that reply.
3 statements concerning 3 different managers in which even you go to lengths to point out might not be accurate.

Followed up with Archer and Bloom in the same breath.
TB really shouldn't have invested/given £100+ million before screwing the Albion over, for a second time.

I don't think it's been mentioned in this particular thread (apologies if I missed it) but TB said at last week's press conference that he hoped Sami Hyypia's contacts would be useful in the search for players. So it needn't just be David Burke to blame when we lose in the playoffs next season.

You really are a bit of a drama queen aren't you ?

Where did I say, suggest or even imply Bloom shouldn't have invested his money, that he had screwed the Albion over or that I wasn't grateful for what he has done ?

So you believe Archers treatment of the Albion is justification to ask questions of Blooms intentions, and yet im the drama queen.

We should ask questions of whoever runs / owns the club. That's hardly radical or disrespectful.

Then your recollection is very wrong, of the current 17 squad 10 were signed prior to Burke and really Ulloa was lined up before his arrival. So I make that 6 of the current 17 are Burke additions.
