Which you can knock, but how many penelties have you missed this season and wished you had a penalty taker who was as reliable as Nugent?

We've missed more than we have scored which is ridiculous but I'm just pointing out Leicester probably have 2/3 other players who are cool headed enough to score penalties regularly! 12 from open play when you have started most games for the champions and second highest scorers in the division isn't really a great return?

I do see your point, but I think you need to give him credit for the Penalties he has scored too.

We have certainly struggled in the last few years to find someone who will consistantly put away a pen, the one player we do have now generally sits on the bench too, so to have a main striker who is generally on the pitch who will take the chance when it is offered is just as valuble to a team in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, despite a few poor performances recently(let's be honest up until his goal he was abysmal against Forest) I think he's a superb player, I personally wouldn't sell for 6.5M however I could see the club accepting that sort of an offer, that's a hell of a lot of money. I'm not sure though, in football now it's hard to know a players value given how massively over-priced some players are.

My point really was that he had both the pace to stay ahead and the savvy to steal in behind them in the first place.
In my mind, he's a better (or, without blue&white tinted glasses, equal) version of Lambert and look at what he's gone on to do at the top level.

I think Lambert is or was a far better player as he heads towards the end of his best days that Ulloa has been don't get wrong I am a fan of Uolla

I doubt this is true tbh. No disrespect but he's not good enough to get in our squad, he's especially not worth 6.5 million.

Personally I think he's too slow for the Premier League, although there were a lot of people who said the same about Rickie Lambert, and he's most likely to be on a plane to Rio in a month.

That's a ridiculous statement. How many strikers do you have on your books? And you think they're all better?

Signs up to make a single comment. Have you been monitoring this thread from afar over the last couple of days and you just couldn't sit back any longer without having your input?

Not good enough for your squad? I trust you've seen most of his games for us this season to make that judgement?

Leo like Ricky Lambert has that knack of being in the right place, there have been plenty of players who just know where to be, you are born with it, it cannot be taught, you just have it
Phillips is a prime example not particularly fast but in the right place .............just a pity he is 40 now

No disrespect, but your squad lost 2-7 against our squad this season.

away game you won fair and square, at home we were clearly hungover from promotion celebrations, we finished 30 points better off than you.

as for Ulloa, your own supporters say he's too slow, the majority of our squad have speed, im not doubting his technical ability but he's not good enough for us in the championship let alone the premier league, based on performances over the season not just two games.

I understand that your defensive attitude is because your sticking up for your player, but imo he's not good enough, certainly not better than our reserve strikers had they played consistently over the season.

What absolute tosh he is far better than Wood in every area of play and he would definitely make a lower prem side so Leicester seems the obvious if we were prepared to sell him. He could of course join Gus at Sunderland who will comfortably finish above Leicester.

Thanks for that.

Presumably you will be using some of your premiership millions to repay the creditors you ripped off to pay for your stadium?

Before you write Ulloa off - don't overlook that he has scored against Prem opposition virtually every time he has played them and I believe he also has an ok record against La Liga teams. So he's probably as qualified as most strikers at the top of the Championship who have never previously played in the Prem. He should already be on 20 goals for this season but for injury and suspension, plus a couple of glaring misses.....ahem.

£6.5m would be decent business for the Albion if we don't go up, however my concern would be finding a replacement who would get us 20+ goals we probably need to be more solid promotion contenders.

I'm not convinced that Ulloa fits in with the style Oscar wants us to play and if a decent offer came in, he'd be off loaded.
