It is good money, but ultimately it should be Oscar's decision as to whether he fits into his plans for the future.
Also will he want to go?
I can see Sunderland putting a bid in as well, if a dutch auction ensues it could be a bit more.
It could be good business, but with all business it will have risks.

That doesn't make any sense: a Dutch auction is when the price decreases with every bid - why should that lead to a higher price?

To be fair if we failed to get promotion I think we’d be foolish not to accept that offer as long as Oscar could reinvest the 4 million profit in the summer.

Pretty crappy timing from Leicester and the press in the lead up to such an important game for us though, couldn’t they wait a week before potentially unsettling our star striker!

Didn't think that sounded right so looked it up. The price doesn't decrease with every bid, it is just that the auctioneer/seller, starts with a high price and keeps lowering it until it gets to a stage where a bid is made and that bidder wins! In a way, every negotiation is like that in that, as the seller, Brighton would ask for £15m and then keep lowering the price until it reaches a level someone wants to pay, assuming that is we want to sell!!!

The same Nugent who scored 22 goals this season and is only 29? I'll take him in a part exchange for Ulloa :)
The same Nugent who has looked like dog ploppy every time he's played at The Amex.
The same Nugent who slotted home 10 of his 22 goals from the spot.

Pretty much the whole Leicester side looked poor when we played them home and away but going by how many points they've amassed they obviously have something about them. Even with penalties deducted that's 4 goals less than Ulloa in a team which isn't exactly lacking in strikers.

I think we need to build a team around him if we want to go up. £6.5 is good money but will mean we still need to find 2 strikers as not sure Hoskins will be here next year either with that cash.
6.5 plus maybe Wood would allow us to re invest in the squad.

You want to deal with the large Dutch population here, then you will see what I mean, but point taken.

Considering how long it took us to find and sign a striker of Ulloas quality, i'm not sure we should be too hasty to sell him

Wouldnt want Wood or any other Leicester player as part of any deal. If he does go it must be for cash to be re invested but it must be remembered that if he is worth that much it would cost most of that money to replace him, so how much better off would we be financially. If we want promotion soon we should keep him.

Was Wood really that good? hardly memorable.

Depends how the FFP affects us and our potential to sign new players. We might need to sell him to allow us to bring in 2-3 new players.

In 18 more games.

Basically I'm not having Nugent in a swap for Leo, no matter how much money Leicester are prepared to throw at the deal.
