Oscar has lost the fans

I think Oscar is being restricted by Jones, I truly believe Garcia can't play his preferred style of play as Jones thinks he knows better, this relationship was doomed from the very start, Garcia should of brought his entire back room team from Israel, really don't think the pair are working.

I'm sorry, I don't buy this. As head coach, he has got authority, so if he can't use that authority to coach the way he wants, then he shouldn't be head coach.

When did football fans become so inpatient? First season for the manager, injuries, sales, lack of squad strengthening and we are still within a fighting chance of the play offs.

I don't think fans are wanting him sacked, but wanting to watch decent football where we have a chance of scoring a goal or winning a game.

Ah but what are we inpatient about? The results recently have been bad, but he's done pretty well all things considered. I think its the style of play (boring), Oscars demeanour (boring) and the sense of having gone backwards this season from last that is getting to people.

I don't think we'll see any radical personality readjustment, but I'm hoping that given the chance to shape his own team over the summer break, we'll see a more dynamic style of football.

I think that he set himself up to be shot at by saying that he was an advocate of attacking football which we havent seen. As I said previously my brother watched us last week for the first time since early January and as he said he thinks we have gone backwards rather than progressed, as he expected.

I guess we will never know what goes on, but I do think Jones is not the right man for the job, Garcia needs his own man behind him, somebody whose opinion he trusts and who he believes in, really can't see that deep down Garcia has that in Jones.

I don't think much of his GK coach to be honest. I think Kuszczak has gone backwards this season especially with his kicking and distribution.

Personally, I'd rather judge Oscar after next season when he has been able to properly take stock of his player requirements, the pace and style of the Championship, and has been allowed to stamp his coaching/tactical mark throughout his team. I hope TB doesn't listen to the naive, impatient quotient of our fan base.

This.. People can think what they want and everyone is entitled to their opinions. But I bet Mr Bloom didn't think he would be going into the 4th season at the Amex still in the championship. People really should open their eyes and look around the stadium and Lancing. This has not been built to see the team going backwards and dishing up the crap we play week in week out. There are a lot of fans who think mid table championship is ok and some people expect to much. I bet Tony Bloom with his £100m+ spent isn't one of them.

I'm of the view that Bloom regards his investment as a long-term one, and wouldn't be expecting to reap a reward from Lancing just yet, but you think otherwise.

He has lost the fans who think we are have a divine right to finish in the top 6. For what it is worth I said at the beginning of the season we would finish 10th-6th, so I think Oscar is doing fine.
We are financially stable and are play-off contenders each season in the championship. That is good, and if we keep doing this we will go up at some point.
There are very few games we do not control, we play passing football but this season we have lacked a cutting edge. I am sure this will be addressed in the summer. If you do not have the patience for that then I feel sorry for you.

'Financially stable' - Didn't we lose £14m last year?

That was a concern that Poyet had when TK signed but they worked on it and got him passing short but that is not happening now but his actual keeping is no different than when he signed.

The WHOLE coaching set up of Garcia, Jones and the 2 Spaniards are second rate compared to Gus , Tanno and co

I think Gus and his team got the respect from most of the players. Not sure if this lot do.

So Oscar can justify why we sat back with 15 mins to go when they had 10 men????

I wasn't at the game, but listened to it on the radio. Your comment doesn't tally with the commentary, which identified the problem was with the players giving the ball away. We finished with Ulloa, CMS, March and KLL on the pitch. I'm not quite sure how that constitutes the manager conveying to the players to sit back.

Someone is to blame.
Oscar is someone.
Oscar is to blame.

You can't argue with logic.

Certain people are demanding immediate results and performances. The style of play has been affected by the personal available. Don't get this demeanour knocking, does any one really care what he says in interviews? We have gone backwards in terms of players because of injuries and sales, Oscar has had to work with that

I just wonder if the fact that so many players are out of contract in June has had a negative affect.
This time last season these players knew that if the play offs/Prem was reached, then even if new players were brought in, then presumably their Prem wages would have been written into their contracts, and play or not, they would have had this season on decent wages.
As it stands, their contracts have not been extended, so they may not feel the need to really push themselves to get to the Prem.
There is obviously reasons why so many are soon to be out of contract, maybe Oscar wants a clear out, maybe the club wanted to know where would finish before committing.
Either way it could have had an affect on the players. Just seems strange how the season has fallen away the nearer we get to the finish.
So, these out of contract players know that IF we make the Prem, then they will go, if we don't, then perhaps Oscar will be able to get his own squad in place.
I would imagine that a couple of players might be picked up by Prem teams.....and then the squad will be overhauled.
Or perhaps i am way off the mark.

I'm not convinced by your argument in this post. Surely a player who hasn't got a contract in a few months time will be more motivated than one who knows they have a five year contract: they're playing for their future.
If you don't show that commitment there's every chance that you won't be playing next year, however talented you are -- this group of players ought to be aware of that, as they have the example of Vicente to contemplate.

Yes I do.

I want some passion, some fight, I want to get a sense of joy when his team wins or despair when we lose. This hands in pockets stuff is hopeless.
