I met The Judge on the Amex to Selhurst and back cycle ride for the REMF last September. A more gentle and down to Earth guy would be hard to find. He talked about the fact that the club were on his case, and that he'd had to alter the words of that Go Left thing as they were ready to ban him for incitement.

I'm sad for him if they have found a reason to remove him. I would love to know what it is that he is supposed to have done wrong.

This

I sit in the Upper West but I have met Jules a few times outside football. I have found him to be a really nice bloke. The sort you can have a pint and a laugh with. I don't think the guy has a nasty bone in his body.

It will be a sad day if this is true.

They were singing and SUPPORTING right up to the final whistle. Good on them.

Yep, they were.

I was in the disabled bit in the esu bang in the corner with The North on Saturday and was watching.

If the club are on his case then it's just wrong.

Personally I'd ban the streams and streams of The North that left in their droves when 'boro got their second.

I'm sorry but how is that incitement!? Total joke if that is the case!

Why doesn't he post on here? Someone needs to post both sides of the story (if this is true), because I'm finding it hard to believe they want to ban him for singing.

I'm always sceptical of threads like this. Either that they are just fishing (such as the one that I thought was quite obviously a lie, but a lot of people seemed to fall for it, where he refused to produce a copy of the letter banning him, then it turned out no e had been banned, it's in the gold section I believe), or that there is only one side to the story (given how many people post on here with threads seemingly suggesting that there is something about not singing that makes you less of a fan and how we all need to join in makes it not much of a stretch to imagine some of those in the singing section going a bit too far, maybe having had a few too many not realising how aggressive they are coming off, trying to get others to join in).

Then I remember that thread of the guy who was banned after the palace match and eventually got it overturned, with that story involving the club supposedly ignoring other witnesses defending the guy, and I think maybe...

What about the fella who got banned initially for 'having a joke with a steward about a bag search'.
It turned out to be foul and abusive language of a sexual and racial nature.

When a story is presented purely from the 'victims' perspective, it's hard to be sure you have the full facts.

If we have The Judge won't be banned.
If we haven't got the full facts, The Judge might be banned but that'll be nothing to do with what has so far been reported on, here.

Spot on.

If all he's done is sing then he hasn't got anything to worry about.

From where I was on Saturday a large group under the security box were giving grief to anyone who got up and left after the second Boro goal, some of it quite expletive! Someone must have complained about that??

This. Most likely a scapegoat as there were a good few people dishing out the abuse.

It seemed to me a few of the people around the judge were gesturing and shouting at people who were leaving early, maybe something to do with that???

He must have been having a go at a lot of people then northstand was empty on 87 mins loyal support???

Me and four others are moving from ESU to NW corner for a better atmosphere. Sat there a few times for cup games and the only thing I think people might find a bit tedious is when the same song is sung for twenty minutes and you're shouted at if you don't join in, meanwhile we're losing 2-0 and the opposition are down the other end testing our crossbar out

OK, we need a designated singing section. A place where people who might get a bit "intimidated" by football fans singing are clearly advised not to sit & have no right to to complain about people who do.

Barber and co are clueless if they don't understand the importance of a good atmosphere.

The whole ground is meant to be a singing section, well that's what Martin Perry told us in our presentation at the ground while viewing what stand and seat to choose, also Paul Barbar said in an interview that when new fans attend he wants them and hops they return when they hear the roar and atmosphere so that's not going to happen is it when singing fans are getting banned.
