Booing at half time

I remember watching the MA2 when slade came in - we hardly won a game all season and were odds on for relegation to League2. What I loved is that, despite a very disappointing season, the fans never booed and got behind the players. We rallied and stayed up which was fantastic. The same season I went to watch an Arsenal game as my friend is a STH there and had a spare ticket - the fans booed a 0-0 draw and I thought to myself 'I'm proud that Albion fans aren't anything like this'.

I love Falmer, the new generation of fans and the club but catalytic expansion in our fan base has come at a cost in my opinion.

Very much agree with this

I am actually getting really bored of the way we are playing at the moment and Greer last week said we hit it long because fans wanted us too.
No Greer we want the team to play at a quicker tempo and show some attacking intention, we love the passing football when we doing it to get somewhere but when we just passing backwards because midfielders too lazy to move and make a run, thats not fun to watch.
Ive actually been bored watching us these last few games and Oscar said he would bring good attacking football, our tempo has actually got slower than under Poyet and seems to be even more defensive eg no wingers and one forward in a home game vs a team who were i think 15th in league and couldnt win a game, hardly something that will get the fans cheering.
I do find annoying that some clapping the players off at end, when they put in such a poor performance, we have to show them no this isnt good enough as its happening too often now.
I wouldnt give anyone above a 6 today, and the only 3 to get that grade would be Ince (why sub him and not Andrews ?) Lingard (who shows intent but his control and shooting is very poor) Ward one of our best performers week in week out.
Ward is the only player we have on loan that i want to sign full time.

I thought I was quite clear I wasn't telling people to stop supporting the club, I assumed they'd already done that, I was telling them to **** off and die. Don't tell me I don't care, that's the point. Booing is pathetic.

So tell me how is cheering them on or silence going to help the team, doesnt this show to them that your accepting the poor performance they are putting in, so i guess you wouldnt agree with Ferguson dressing down treatment when he was Man Utd manager, that didnt seem to do the players any harm, having some fear of manager or fans reactions can have positive effects as well.

I can't be arsed trying to explain this to someone who is clearly retarded. Ask your carer.

So how should the supporters who go to the matches and pay the wages tell the team they are unhappy with them on match day? What's your suggestion?

Seriously? Someone asks how supporting the team helps them and you question why I'm treating them with contempt? The booing at HALF TIME today was simply pathetic. Get behind the team, we have no divine right to be in the play offs, or to be beating anyone. But SUPPORTING them can only help.

You really have no idea do you. You want to cheer and clap no matter how the team are playing, even if it's clear the players are not playing their best. 29,000 yes men every Saturday who will love the team and worship them all whatever they do on the pitch. As I said before, I did not boo but what happened today was a reaction to what people had seen, no concerted campaign, people had not discussed doing it they just felt they had to/wanted to.

Yeah great response, i think this shows who the one with the problem is, Just concentrate on yourself and let everyone else do what they want, your not the boss of all the fans so just let people give own opinion, look forward to another babyish reponse from you.

Said the person who is claiming that booing has a detrimental affect on the club, yet roundly abuses other fans / anyone who disagrees with their point of view. Classic.

Yeah he has shown everyone what he is like, he hates people moaning or getting on players backs but then he calls fans names like a school child just because we giving reasons why, and he doesnt have the brain power or answer at all so decides to call names, which is exactly what he says he doesnt like lol soo funny

Why boo? Yes, we're playing pretty shite at the moment and yes, results aren't exactly what we'd have hoped for. But it could be worse. Look at Pompey.

Why not boo if things are that bad? And yes let's have a good chortle at that laughing stock of a club, but we aren't them, so why make the comparison.

MA 2 was definitely booed by most of the Withdean crowd near the end of his tenure.

I think you will find that the booing is coming from the plastic fans we have been telling you about for many seasons that you have denied having. So many threads on here moaning about fans leaving early every week is another clear indication. The sooner you hunt these down and get in true supporters the better for your club.

Thank you that's so helpful!

I think we need to realise that we haven't got players good enough to play the quick passing, penetrative football we'd like to see. We've got no pace up front, we've got young players with exciting bursts but no finishing skill and we've got journeyman cloggers. Our management team appear to be dour and uninspiring. That said, it's times like these that make the good times seem so good.

Christ. What sublime logic.

We could be 24th, without a chance of staying up and Hey! We're not as bad Portsmouth so lets celebrate. Midtable in L1, but hey! We're not as bad as Portsmouth. We could be 20th, one point above Portsmouth but we're better than Portsmouth.

I didn't boo, but I'm not going to blame other people for. We've been very, very average all season bar 2-3 games and now its starting to dawn on people that we've gone backwards from last season. If we'd played like this last year people would have been calling for Poyet's head. FACT

If we did that we'd have crowds of about 12,000. We need the new lot, I just wish they wouldn't SPEAK.
