What on Sir Alex to come and rescue them?

Good point, he said he would never manage another football team but when an opportunity like this comes up, who could possibly refuse?

I can't be CERTAIN, but I don't think this Saintsweb poster is a BIG fan of our Pompey chums...

But I get your point, and agree with it to an extent. For me, justice has not been served, im still bitter about inJustice Mann etc falling for Storries footballing experience, £6m player valuation from an administrator inflated to £40m at a whim, jotted down on Peters notebook and handed to the judge as fact. The fact these judges took the word of Storrie, Andronikou, Chinny etc over and above Her Majestys Revenue and Customs is still truly sickening to this day.

So I still have a strong, growling appetite to see them suffer further. If I see the Tesco deal fall through, Fatpipes safety certificate permanently condemed, falling through the FL trapdoor and into non-league football for a decade at least, their sons wearing red & white of SFC, Fatpipes redeveloped by Robinson, et al as property and the eventual relocation to Moneyfields with a grand opening ceremony of porkeypenny tumbling into a paddling pool to the tune of TCWTB and his merry men.

Then we will have taken another small step to justice.

Bring on the wessex for these inbred skate c*nts

@pn_neil_allen: Barker gone, Awfs steps up as caretaker and expect very busy day on loan front as #Pompey push boat out financially on staying up.

You couldn't make it up.

"Pompey push boat out financially"

Is this going to be their new club MANTRA

Wouldn't it be SPLENDID if they did exactly that and still went down?

And really, that's what they should do. It won't make a jot of difference to Pompey's marvellous support, there will definitely be 11,000 season ticket holders in the Conference because they're such a big club with tremendous fans.

It's ok, they will get the parachute payments for teams dropping out of the league.

Odds are already up for the next manager:

4/5 Jose Mourinho
3/1 Carlo Ancelotti
4/1 Pep Guardiola
6/1 Brendan Rodgers
10/1 Arsene Wenger

I would imagine Guardiola is handing his notice in at Bayern Munich as we speak. I mean, winning titles and trophies with a galaxy of superstars , dazzling all-comers with your stylish brand of football, and in one of the world's most impressive stadiums is all well & good, but it's pretty meaningless when you're not playing for The Best Fans In The World, is it?

Ding a ling a ling a ling a ling!

Words cannot describe this.....

Pompey are chasing a sensational swoop for Jamie O’Hara.

The News understands the midfielder is being pursued in a loan for the remainder of the season, a deal which would reunite him with the Fratton faithful.

O’Hara was a massive favourite during a loan spell from Spurs in 2009-10, sweeping the board in the Blues’ player-of-the-year stakes.

He scored three goals in 29 appearances and also started for Avram Grant’s team in the 2010 FA Cup final.

But his career has stalled following a £5m move to Wolves in the summer of 2011, and he now features only for their under-21 side.

However, Pompey have identified the 27-year-old as a player to get them out of relegation trouble and are prepared to create the finances to capture him.

Other loan arrivals are expected before today’s 5pm emergency loan window deadline as caretaker boss Andy Awford seeks to keep the club in the Football League.
-------------------------------

Jamie O'Hara and Pompey deserve each other.

"Create the finances" - what the hell does that mean? Fiddle them on a balance sheet? Borrow more money they can't afford to repay? Revalue their assets by +100%?

This is beyond a joke now. I've never wanted another club to go bust (not even the Norwood Beagles) but I don't think I'd care any more if it happened to Pompey.

What was it Einstein said? Something about idiocy being repeating the same action and expecting a different result next time.

(Quite apart from the fact O'Hara is a lazy, selfish, useless waste of oxygen)

Is that the Jamie O'Hara who earns upwards of £30k a week?

Yes, yes of course it is. And why SHOULDN'T they sign him eh? Every fourth division team should have at least one player on >£30k per week. Good old Pompey. Bringing the standard up.

Utter, utter TWATS.

Love this post from one of the greatest fans, debating who the next manager should be...

Looking at that list Laudrop would be immense but is just a dream

Owen Coyle, wouldn't be too bad. Zola or Malky would be nice. Both play good football.

Fair play to him for realising that Laudrup might be unrealistic, and keeping his suggestions sensible :clap2:
