Amazing, in the context of the average UK worker's salary, that the mean estimated salary for an Albion player is in the region of £483,000 per annum.

Nothing by comparison to the likes of Rooney, Gerrard, Aguero etc, but still far beyond the wildest dreams of most of us. And this is for the middle of the road, squad players are on, not the marquee names or the ones we signed from Premier League clubs.

I've got a copy of CPFC2010 accounts too Jez. Apart from the haircuts, I quite like Parish (and before him Jordan) as they do have the best interests of the club at heart.

You spent over £16million in the summer 2013 transfer window, not so sure how much in January, but Pulis is your best signing by far.

yep. Difficult to gauge increases in wages. Guessing the Jan ones will be on a fair whack but if we go down we should be able to get rid of a big chunk of the long term liabilities ie Chamakh will go, as will Ince plus a lot of the chaff we got in the Summer. Probably have to sell Ward but with the other 60m to come should be safe financially (for a few more years anyway !) with a decent squad.

Guessing our relegation rivals will be in much worse shape financially

Any Tom, Dick or Harry can go through a re-engineering process to cut losses. That's the easy bit.

He's yet to prove he's worth his salary by proving he can grow the business. And the shirt sponsorship deal with Amex doesn't count, again negotiating a deal with a company you are already well in bed with is hardly ground-breaking.

He needs to prove to his staff that he is worth his salt too, because while he is good at getting the fans to believe his drivel, his staff are far less engaged or convinced.
