Then you'll remember one of the biggest morons ever to appear here, calling himself Glenn Murray. He was on here every other day to inform us we'd finish well outside the play-offs and you'd be in the top two. All your players were world beaters (especially Glenn Murray) and ours were average at best. Then we started catching you up, annihilated you on St Patricks day. By the time the last game of the season came round, with you desperately close to finishing outside the play-offs and us comfortably in them, he was nowhere to be seen and didn't seem to want to discuss the relative merits of the two teams.

So this sort of extremism is hardly unique to us, is it?

Your point would be valid but i should remind you that we destroyed you in the play offs and ended up getting promotion...

You Sir are in the minority if you read these boards...maybe your fellow fans are just a little, how do you say..."bitter"?

I don't know about that. Some people are fickle; nothing wrong with having a change of opinion about a player as far as I'm concerned. For instance, last season I thought Spanish Dave was the best thing we had going for us (especially that sublime free-kick) but this season I think he's mostly been turd.

As the op is a Palace fan, he is going to have no comprehension of a football club living within it's means.

As regards the players mentioned, all are quality otherwise why would Premier League clubs be trying to buy them?

Nothing to see or try and discuss here

No, my point IS valid because "Glenn Murray" didn't know that at the time. And when you say destroyed, you of course mean edged past us at the Amex when it looked like you'd thrown it away at Selhurst. My definition of destroy would be, say, what Man City did to West Ham over two legs, or what Liverpool did to your two bob club in a single game.

Possibly over egging that a bit, but we shall move on.
I appreciate what you have contributed, however it seems you have been very selective in your thoughts and opinions regarding what you have read on this board, sure some fans will have said that it's time for Buckley and Bridcutt to go but that would mainly be because one of them is very very injury prone and the other has clearly had his turned by his previous manager, the opportunity to play for a huge club in the Premier League and earn a much much larger wage. I doubt that any fans of the Albion actually believe we are better off without these 2 players but can understand why they are leaving. I'm not really sure what your point is?

Bridders wants to go and I still rate him as highly as ever, despite having played below par in his last few appearances. Ulloa is just coming back from injury and thus not match fit; he's still quality on his day. Same with Buckley; injury prone but quality when fully fit.

Nothing's changed. They're all quality when fit and available.

I read your first two sentences, and was thinking well said sir!, l really agree ... but then l came to your third sentence. I really cannot agree re Will Buckley, as l have been continually saying on here over the past goodness knows how many months, the player for me, has been a complete let down, (with admittedly a few exceptions), he has constantly failed to deliver on a consistent enough basis, he did cost us a seven figure fee after all! After the best part of three seasons with the Albion, it's time for him to move on. Gradually, bit by bit, a few of you are coming over to my way of thinking, although it would seem l'm yet to win you over!

Leonardo Ulloa, Liam Bridcutt and Will Buckley were seen by many on here as some of the finest players in the entire football world
Er, ok. Back to reality, your fans on here said they wouldn't get in your side - now that you're a division higher, suddenly you're interested in a couple of them.

your promotion to the Premiership and ensuing dominance of European football was due to begin after years of patiently waiting until you were "PLR".
Ok, you're just joking - that's cool, but is any of your post going to have anything to do with reality?

Ulloa was seen as a £10 million + man, Bridcutt the best midfielder outside of the Premiership (Jedinak not fit to lace his boots one Albion collegue of mine would often say) and Buckley better than Wilf Zaha.
I'll take that as a no then. We think Ulloa is great, but there was no £10m + consensus. Bridcutt is excellent - we'll have to wait and see who does best out of him and Hedinak. And people here believed that Zaha had more potential than Will, but Will did better than Zaha most of the times he played (more goals and assists per game).

However now that these players appear either to be urgently wanting away from your sinking ship (Bridcutt)
You don't seem to be able to get anything right.

Interestingly, had the exact same thread appeared on BBS by now the poster would have been subject to some quite nasty abuse, most of it relating to sexual preferences and subsequently banned to the Away end or possibly for good.

On here however you seem to be tolerated, or possibly humoured.

Indeed, I got banned on there just for saying I was a Brighton fan, didn't even say anything about Palace. We are a more tolerant bunch down here, a little more intelligent I think.

It is hard to be consistent if you are continually hampered by injuries. Which is why I am slightly amazed by some of the figures banded about, 1.75m will recoup our money for him with any sell ons. Still think if he could go a season without any hamstring injuries we would see a decent player.

I am not totally won over by you yet either! ;)

Actually, I think he might be in the silent (or less vociferous) level-headed majority.

I, too, would be sad to see any of these gentlemen go, but it would not be the end of the world. If nothing else, it could all work out to be good business, in that we would hopefully make good profits, having profited considerable from their time with us.

Then again, they could all still be here come feb 1st.

Ok enough is enough. What has he done to you?

Shagged you're wife maybe, or bearing in mind your pettiness something far more serious, maybe he didn't sign your autograph book.

As a regular reader on these fine boards over the years (finally registered this month so I could join in the HOT DEBATE) it would seem that up until recently (13/05/13 to be exact) Leonardo Ulloa, Liam Bridcutt and Will Buckley were seen by many on here as some of the finest players in the entire football world and your promotion to the Premiership and ensuing dominance of European football was due to begin after years of patiently waiting until you were "PLR". Ulloa was seen as a £10 million + man, Bridcutt the best midfielder outside of the Premiership (Jedinak not fit to lace his boots one Albion collegue of mine would often say) and Buckley better than Wilf Zaha.

However now that these players appear either to be urgently wanting away from your sinking ship (Bridcutt) or your club is at the mercy of bigger clubs with much bigger cash flows coming in for them this January (Sunderland, Palace) you all seem to have changed your tune and they are all in fact nothing special and won't be missed if they go.

It's a strange one. How can such worldbeaters go downhill so fast? ???

What you're experiencing here is a classic case of a football club with a large fan-base and as a consequence a large amount of diverse opinion. I know that's probably difficult for you to get your nut round, being a Palace fan and all.

Fook arrrf.....you obviously can't read...those players are all welcome to stay, they are all core players for us, we all rate them....but if the money flows, they can move on to allow others to replace them....simple
