Yeah, of course we did :lolol:

Ok, I'll amuse you. Who are these big name players we signed on massive wages that turned out to be amazing for us? The only big wage players we had in Jordan's reign where Akinbyi, Macken and Kuqi and they all turned out to be utter sh*t.
The Telegraph reported that Murray was on 12K a week. We offered him 7K, he wanted 9K.

Just 10 years ago Zamora was our highest paid player in the 2nd tier on 2K a week. That's in print by our old chairman.

The fair weather plastic fans and JCL's will not go once the novelty wears off and history shows this starts to happen after the 4th season at a new stadium.

I love this from a palace fan. 10,000 at home for midweek games in the Championship, but when Spurs or Man U roll into Selhurst then can scrape together 24,000, as against Brighton who will have 27,000 for Barnsley the week before Christmas. Keep taking the tablets mat. Brighton always have had the bigger gates in the division they play to, and got remarkable crowds for the best part of Gillingham and Withdean (selling out Withdean for 4 or so seasons). Brighton are historically a lower league side with a top flight support, Palace, well, they sometimes turn out when they reach the top flight.

Decidedly average at Premier League level on the whole, but Chamakh is top drawer and would get a game for most teams in the division. Ward, Jedinak and Bannan are more than capable in the top flight as well. If Pulis can address the massive lack of strength in depth he'll probably keep Palace up.

Whether you think they're decidedly average journeyman or not, they're doing the business at the moment and would probably win the Championship at a canter.
You spunked a fortune on average players and then released them on loan deals....then come after quality players Ulloa and Bridcutt who had the sense to remain at a Premier club in waiting...we'll pass you by in the summer hopefully for long enough fir you to realise your true place in the pecking order...then you may get another chance at top level if you can leave your crumbling shack. ..

I've mentioned this fact a few times, but most fans seem to ignore that it happened.

I'm still waiting to find out what bills we didn't pay. We even had to pay Capital Gains tax on the sale of the Goldstone because it was more than 7 years before we got a new home.

Come on Brighton Mod, tell us the specifics.

You don't seem to realise that your current high support is down to your new stadium and playing the big boys in The Championship after years in the wilderness playing teams like Rotherham, Wycombe and Bury. You couldn't even sell out an 8k capacity Withdean a few years back.

Wait and see, your gates will soon decline unless you get promoted soon. The fair weather plastic fans and JCL's will noit go once the novelty wears off and history shows this starts to happen after the 4th season at a new stadium.

Just showing your ignorance on a Brighton Forum....why on earth do you bother trolling...it's so passé. ..

I highly doubt that, I can't see you even making the playoffs. If you fail to go up and we go down (and under Pulis that is not guaranteed) then we will still have a much better squad and a lot more money than you for the foreseeable future.

There are none, so you'll be waiting a long time.

Neither Brighton Mod, nor SE20 will be able to back up their slur with any evidence.

Stick him on ignore, this jester adds nothing worth reading, just sour- faced sneers.

Luckily his quoted posted are now no longer readable either.

10,000 at home? We were getting 17,000 at the end of last season and I think out lowest gate last year was just below 13,000. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

You also get higher attendances than us this year because your capacity is bigger. There have been a few games this year where we have sold out so fans that would have attended haven't been able to. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Yes lets put them to the challenge.

Here is the documented proof of just ONE of their administration's and the taking of peoples money without their consent.

Now if Brighton Mod or SE20 can post the same level of proof of our debts that they are talking about, then we can believe them.

Perhaps not you, but plenty of Palace fans said the Amex crowds would drop after the novelty of the first season. Then it was the second season. I see you're pushing that out even further now.

What actually happened was demand was so high we had to put in new seats ahead of the previously planned schedule. The fact is that, even with largely unimpressive number of visiting fans, and with a team that has been uninspiring at home, we are still averaging just under 27,000 in this, our third season at the Amex and we lead Championship attendances once again, bettering 'big clubs' such as Leeds, Derby, Forest, Leicester, Ipswich, Bolton, Wednesday, Birmingham, Blackburn and Middlesbrough. Most of those don't even come close.

Like it or not, relegation aside, the Amex crowds are here to stay. You can prattle on about JCLs, plastics and 'new football' as much as you like but the truth is football, unlike Selhurst Park, has moved on. The Albion have invested significantly to put in place facilities that deliver an all-round experience that people want. Coupled with the innovative interest-free season ticket instalment payment option, it makes it very easy for people to renew, and they do.

You may mock out set-up, but many don't, your board included. They would LOVE to have the Amex, or similar, to host your Premier League adventure.

I think you will find that BHA are spending money on the future. New stadium, Academy etc. Most BHA supporters are patient and are prepared to wait until the whole package is put in place. Meantime England U21's, The Rugby World Cup and Rod Stewart are gracing our ground........who are you featuring at the Cow shed.

Like Thunder Bolt I'd be interested to know the answer to this as well. Who let us off?

During the sale of the Goldstone, Archer offered a deal to local companies that was far less than what was due.
I'm sure some of your older fans can confirm this.

Tell us more. Which bills didn't we pay?

Subsequent to Lord Justice Taylors report grounds had to be improved to make them safer places. extensive work was carried out at the Goldstone totalling in excess of £250,000 in the late eighties. This bill was never paid and the person to who which it was due was in a position to winde the company up along with HMRC. The contractor allowed the club to pay the revenue instead of him and as such saved the club from going out of business. Just thought I would let you know as sometimes there is a load of rubbish promulgated on here.

Now I have shown documented proof of your debts, now please respond with the same kind of proof and not hearsay.

My mate was working on Murray's house at the time this was going on. He was chatting with Murray and these were the figures that he stated. I thought the actual amount he stated was more than 12k, but the first two figures of 7k and 9k are spot on.

It's a fantastic stadium, I can't deny it. But history shows that attendances start to decline in the 4th season of a new stadium unless promotion happens.
