Your true feelings will become apparent if we actually do make the play off final. You'll then discover where your priorities lie. Make the most of the next two months though because when those play off final tickets go on sale & include the name Brighton & Hove Albion on them then it may be back to the dating game for you me ol china

As good as 'me ole china' is, I always prefer abbreviating it to 'MOC'

There will be many women. Hopefully we only need one playoff final. Just tell her to do one, if she doesn't how important Brighton is then she needs a stern word.

I deliberately booked our holiday in June rather than May for this very reason. The extra £600 difference is a small price to pay.

Particularly if we don't make it..!

There was a Scot who 'nipped out for a pint of milk' and ended up in France to watch his beloved Tartan Army in the '98 World Cup. He was spotted on TV by his worried (and then furious) wife. I'm not sure if they are still together. Perhaps pop out to get some [local delicacy] and fly back and forth (if we do actually end up at Wembley).

So, you are a stickler for the 'law' when it comes to people standing at games, and you wont stand up to your girlfriend.......problems with standing at all? Whatsoever?

seems like she's playing a game of attention seek/testing your devotion.
A decent partner would spot how important BHAFC is to your life & accommodate your needs too.
Very unreasonable & immature of her tbh.
Good luck:cry:

Is this a serious thread?! What is the matter with blokes these who have to get permission to do stuff? You're going to watch a game of football for a weekend, not go off with another woman for a few nights. Just go. She'll probably respect you more for doing what you want than being submissive to her rules.

Worst case scenario: she dumps you for disobeying her. However if that were to happen then you'd be best rid anyway.

Football isn't worth losing the right girl over. Obviously the right girl would never let you miss a play-off final, so ditch that bitch.

Hello,

I shall be in another country during the play-off final. Now, if we get there my girlfriend is adamant I can't go. Actually quite aggressive that I can't go at all as it is "nothing more than men kicking one ball around", what should I do, short of ditching her?

If that's the kind of person your girlfriend is, then dump her immediately.

I've been married for 18 years, if my wife ever told me I couldn't do something I really wanted to do first I would take the 'WTF' look off my face and then just give her a little chuckle and carry on regardless. In fairness to her she has never even tried it and similarly I have never told her what to do or that she couldn't do something.

I just don't get it, the first time any woman tried to exert that kind of control over me I would get rid. OP - man up for christ sake you're an embarrassment to men everywhere.

It's worth the risk, can you imagine the heartbreak it would cause if we were on holiday when the Albion were playing in the play off final.
She'd be heartbroken to go on holiday on her own !!

:lolol:

I've booked a lovely holiday. Beautiful beaches. Superb fresh seafood. Wonderful music at sundown. Make sure to send me a postcard.
