The weak, frail Albion team that has frustrated us this year was nowhere to be seen. There was a gritty determination to not concede and to bring 3 points home, and they did the job.
Great result, keeping us in sight of the play-offs, but let's not lose sight of reality. It's not like our tippy tappy gang have suddenly become men, nay warriors, we just got lucky. Cardiff hit the post 4 times, and with less luck we'd have lost. In plenty of other games this season the ball has ricocheted in off someone's backside, and our losing effort has been no less gritty.

All of which is true.
But looking at it from a purely points stance, that was a really important win.

It feels like every time we have got into this position recently, this is the point we screw up.

Looking at the weekends fixtures, we are unlikely to make that push into the play off places, but we could end up putting a fair few points between 7th and 8th.

great evening like last season - we really are there bogey team!

since that club left Ninan their support really is terrible - we outsang them the entire game

all of us who were on the concourse who missed the goal were adament that Cardiff had scored due to the noise, lol

Too difficult to predict, anything can happen and it's no easy game for us.

We've caught up 11 points on Middlesbrough in the last 8 games - any idea what's happened to them, have they had a load of injuries?

That's exactly my point.
It's not an easy game, but as we can win away to Cardiff Library, we 'should' be beating Burnley at home.
But for the last x amount of times, most recently Blackburn, when in this position we've blown it.

Yes this division is too unpredictable, but 'Boro 'should' win at home to Millwall, so we aren't into 6th.
But, after tonight we could have 8 team in striking distance below us.

Sticking 3 points on at least half of those is IMO a necessity.

Actually i think u r wrong there..having watched the stream.....they did give a mans performance last night...they gave a very gutsy performance ...yes there was luck..but everyone needs that..especially against league leaders with there home record...and post hitting 4 times...SSN said that but i can only recall twice..hmm

Mowbray saying they had 12 of first team squad unavailable last night. Hope it stays that way for a while!

And how many times have we been on the wrong end of a visiting team doing exactly what we did last night?

Play all the football but unable to find the back of the net. Other team defends like their lives depended on it, we hit the woodwork more than once, and opposing keeper plays an absolute blinder.

Let's just hope that at last our luck has turned at last.

Not forgetting we scored twice of course.

why some people cant go without a beer really beggars belief,

Pay money to get to Cardiff, Time in travelling, entrance price,

Then go for a beer on 40 mins? Each to their own I guess..

As in the other thread we found Cardiff on of the friendliest grounds we have visited.

Car Park right outside the away end and only £5 thats how it should be!!

Yeah, to be honest, he is a pretty rubbish fan. He's never contributed much to the Albion or its supporter base :D

I don't know why but I and others felt positive about going to Cardiff.

Don't know if it was just me imagining things, but I thought I saw the CC keeper give us a 'couple of claps' at the end of the game. I think he realised what a great support we had given throughout the game.

My Daughter and future son in law (both Cardiff STH) have said that since the move from Ninian park, the singing and overall atmoshere has not been as "Lively" but the club has become a lot more "Family Friendly" than it used to be at Ninian Park.

Ninian Park was truly horrible. Just about the least ' family friendly ' ground in the Universe. Spitting, coin throwing, foul and abusive language and that was just the ladies in the refreshment kiosks.
Ninian Park and the old Den had to be right up there in the battle for no.1 position for ' arse-wipingly ' bad experiences.

This was my experience of Ninian Park in 2001. I remember it was even particular safe to walk around near the ground as their hoolies would pick a fight with anyone with an English accent. I also went there in the late 90's and they only had about 2,000 fans there.
