I actually think the digital advertising looks better, more 'modern' befitting a stadium like ours. The old fashioned boards just look a bit 1970's. Is this one of Barber's revenue raising ideas?

The game is on ITV, so probably all the adverts will be in single syllables

Is this going to be a one off?

Hope this isn't permanent?

I think it's just for Saturday, which would suggest it's an ITV thing. I don't think it's really going to make any more money than the regular boards unless it's on telly.

?

It's the way that "big" clubs advertise. Get used to it; presumably you've got used to the modern stadium we now inhabit?

isnt there also a rule that if you get into the champions league ( yes I know) the first 4 rows in a stadium near these advertising boards have to be left empty so they are visible with no distractions?

Not really commercialism gone mad then

I thought it was that as the hoardings are bigger you couldn't sell seats in the front four rows as the view would be obstructed.

He he, of course it is, or perhaps it's an ITV (or FA) requirement for being on TV

When Barber was on the Albion Roar he said it was compulsory to have this in the Premier League so I guess it's a permanent fixture.

Thought that only applies if the stands are to close by the pitch. We should be fine I'd have thought.
