If we sell our best players we might as well go home.

If Bridcutt isn't going to sign a new deal then we probably should sell in January. Absolute quality player but I'm sure we could find somebody else to do his job, albeit likley they wouldn't be as good as him. A couple of million for him is better than nothing as unless we make the prem this year he will probably be off. Isn't he currently agent-less at the moment too? Would much prefer he went to Villa or Fulham of the three clubs mentioned, Norwich seriously need to f*** off (unless they send Bennett back as part of a deal).

EDIT: well as Bridcutt is not out of contract just read my post as 'f*** off Norwich'.

£10m for the pair and they can have them.

Might as well have Buckley while they're at. FFS this is what happens when you make deadline day signings like Dobbie and Lopez and find yourself in mid table playing ineffective pretty football. Our best chance of top flight football and Poyet has blown it.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bridders attracts interest. Not sure that I see CMS as Premiership standard but if he gets to play in a system that actually suits him then who knows, he might do ok. Buckley could be on other Clubs radar too.

I suppose we could sell CMS and bring in another striker but if we play the same system that leaves the striker isolated then it may not guarantee more goals.

I don't really want to see any of them leave as we will need a stronger squad to get out of the Championship, let alone survive in the Premiership. However if Gus can get more than we paid for CMS then it might just happen. But would that give him a big enough budget to attract a quality striker (preferably with Premiership experience) - especially if we are determined to stick to a wages cap?

On paper Dobbie and Lopez were brilliant signings though. It is up to them to prove their pedigree and for Poyet to implement them effectively.

CMS may go to Norwich if rhey up the bidding to £4m or thereabouts. We need to change things up front and he is the marketable product.
Bridcutt wont go before the summer unless someone can stump up a similar sum.

Remember though that this is the Mirror and they never get it right.

were they? A right winger with no pace, who nobody ever had heard of, presumably on a high wage? And a striker with no physical presence with few goals on his CV other than a season in Scotland and a good month at Blackpool? No, we needed some pace on the left to replace Noone and a target man. Instead, Gus has used Ashley f***ing Barnes in both positions. Complete shambles.
