On the way home from Derby - not good enough

Listening on the radio it sounds like we carved open the better of the chances. If Hammond puts that header we are all happy- fine margins!

This, we had the better chances, Liam hit the bar (admittedly deflected), Lopez fired one too high after a great move, Dobbie almost put through twice, Orlandi header just over. Ok, we failed with all of them, but all they had was a couple of long shots well saved by TK. We dominated possession at a good Championship ground, let's get a grip everyone, compared to what we have had for the past 20(?) years this is great entertainment and I'm going to keep on coming back for more.

Last 3 away matches 7 points from a poss 9. Last 3 home games 4 from 9. Not a bad return, yes we could improve our home form, surely you can't fault our away form. I think we are doing well

Well I thought we looked decent - without looking threatening enough.

A few observations:-

Opponents have clearly sussed that AEA has no distribution - typically stand off him and close down anyone he might pass to, leaving him no options.

The new boys (Orlandi, Lopez, Dobbie) need more game time to get up to speed - none made the impact we would have hoped.

Bridcutt and the full backs were class.

Hello! This is a Website? I said heard not read!

Hello to you too...yes well done it is a website....and i made the point that perhaps you read the thread to see that people who have been to the game like your good self have said completely the opposite..to counter the negative you may have heard...glass half full or empty?

Controlled the majority of the game and got into promising positions but we weren't good enough in the final 3rd today would have been nice to have seen a bit of kaz at the end but if we are around the top 6 as the season progresses that's fine with me

Not good enough for what......the premiership?....or maybe we should just take the positives, the minimum requirement for an away fixture....a draw, and adding to that a clean sheet ! IMO not bad at all........

I was at the game and thought we were OK. We definitely miss CMS but were the most likely scorers.

I'm yet to be convinced by Dobbie but guess it will take time. Good to see Bruno back.

Good observations. El-Abd's distribution has been very poor the past few games and has almost put us in danger of conceding a couple of times. And spot on about Bridcutt and the full backs.

Wel, I'm not going to moan about today's result - I've been following the Albion for fifty years, and for at least forty of those, I should estimate, a 0-0 draw away at Derby County would have been enthusiastically welcomed as something of a triumph! Still a bit disappointed though - which just goes to show how far we've come in the last few years.

I've been going for 32 years but sometimes I say enough is enough. Its ok for the players as they earn thousands and if they play shit then they still pocket their weekly wage and still picked for the next game.

The players should think about us fans who spend money really can't afford.

Best goals conceded record in the whole league by an absolute mile. 5th in the actual table.

You have VERY high standards.

BBC Sussex made us sound like we were considerably the better team.

I thought it was an entertaining draw. Had a great day and as long as we don't get relegated I'm happy.

Remember the past folks - this is all good.

It's all about opinions. I was of the opinion that today we were lucky and the performance away from home wasn't good enough to win a game and wasn't a patch on our good away performances this year at Hull, Burnley etc.

Derby looked good in the final 10 minutes but that was probably due to our woeful defending. We're really missing Crofts in the centre of the park. Hopefully we can get a striker in on loan as we seriously lacked any presence up front.

We were poor today. The 1st half was one of the worst I have ever seen. However, we improved in the 2nd half but neither side really looked like scoring. A draw was a fair result and a good point to pick up.

Partly due to teams trying to nullify us I think. As others have stated years gone by derby would have had a real go at us.

I am glad we have a break now, time for players to come back and the next game is at our beloved home.

we need to stop makeing excuses about us missing cms we should still be scoring goals but we are not so that just shows how rubbish we are without cms and gus needs to go out a quality centre forward to give us another option because dobbie is rubbish

dont piss your pants.

Even without CMS we are still a good side. So we dont spank everyone every week. No mugs in the Championship and to largely control games against anyone in this league you need to be good.

Get real

Then you havn't watched very many (at all), although we didn't create many chances we were the better team throughout the first half.
