This one is just WOW ! Contact. A great film with a stunning performance from the greatest actress of her generation. Jodie Foster.

This

Love this film, not even in my top 10 though, but as for openings.....f*** ME

Spielberg at the absolute top of his game. A great director at his peak. His greatest ever piece of direction imo. I don't think anything ever committed to celluloid has come close to this. I saw it at a packed cinema and people were weeping to my side during this.

For me it has to be the start of the Italian Job, the original not the remake. Really classy, great photography, good music and a Lamborghini Miura. Sets the tone for the whole movie. The ending isn't too shabby either.

The whole intro to Blade is pretty immense. The whole nightclub scene and everything.

Saving Private Ryan, especially in Surround Sound! Bullet marks in the wall behind me! Contact is very good as well.

but its not the opening scene is it, it starts in the cemetery. great none the less.

best opening is, Star Wars. i can only imagine the wonder that would have been in 1977, its still a big impact.

I was weeping. My overriding thought was for my Grandfathers and Great Grandfather who had to endure the reality.

I tend to agree. Thought he murdered the last Indiana Jones.

I loved Jaws. Best film ever directed!!

I liked it. It was a decent film but the weight of expectation was unrealistic imo.

Many survivors went to the premieres and stated it was about as realistic as it was possible to be.

Perhaps not the greatest, but the music is spectacular.
