Well not if he is on his way out.

On the Argus site today:

Gus Poyet is ready to welcome Craig Mackail-Smith back to his Albion matchday squad as he plans to take on Chelsea.

Poyet is happy with progress made by Mackail-Smith, who has had a back problem, and left-back Marcos Painter (hamstring).

The Seagulls host European club champions Chelsea in a prestigious friendly at The Amex on Saturday.

Poyet said this morning: "If Macca comes though without any problems today and tomorrow he has a chance to play.

Well not if he is on his way out.

As it stand no evidence from the club to back this up, still rumors and speculation.

I think the OP has seen that CMS could be on his way out and has made an immediate assumption on this, I'll be happy to be proved wrong but not if it's Paynter Or Kitson.

If it is Crofts, I wonder who will be captain this season?

One of the first things Poyet did when he came was make Crofts our captain, and it paid off. But Greer has been an immense skipper. I'd stick with Greer personally.
