Came into my work today, He mentioned that he's looking forward to the new season and his future is with us, hopefully he'll have a better season this year and play a bigger part!

I don't think he can be disappointed with last season. He gets a lot of criticism on here, but I think he adapted superbly. His knackered leg was a big blow and it coincided with a downturn in our form. Unpopular opinion, but it doesn't bother me.

By that logic his return to the team coincided with our downturn in form at the end of the season.

He has got no future with us if we plan to make an assault on promotion. Average player at this level imo.

Unfortunately, I agree with this

I think it's only right we give him a chance to prove himself at this level. He had a serious, career threatening injury, and then struggled for form when he came back. I seem to remember all the resident twats on here giving KLL stick a couple of months after he had returned from a serious injury. It takes time! I cant imagine he's exactly on mega money, and Gus likes him because he follows his instructions EXACTLY. Decent enough squad player to have around the place, if he doesn't cut the mustard this season then cheerio.

Hopefully he has a better season, by not breaking his leg.

Didn't look good before the break either, Would be a good signing for every league 1 club though

A league 1 player at best - and far too slow for the Championship in speed and ideas. I would be disappointed if he is anything other than a squad player in the coming season.

If we have ambitions to continue to improve and get promoted then I'm afraid players like Dicker (and Painter) are going to have to step aside. I wouldn't be overly critical but there's no room for sentiment and I just don't think he is good enough.

I thought he did well at the start of the season. I seem to remember him running the game against Blackpool at the Amex. Unfortunately he didn't really get back up to speed after his injury but with a good pre-season, hopefully he'll have a part to play next season even if he isn't a regular starter.

Dicker is a good player but he is just too slow for the Championship. We can and should be aiming higher.

We need to stop signing players who then go on to break their legs. It's not the first time it's happened is it ?
