yeah, that mockup seems to have completely ignored the plans submitted to the council. There is no way that, in that mockup, the ESU will sit 3,000...

there are far more rows of seating in front of, and behind, the disabled area

Y'see that looks MUCH better, just as an open space, rather than the picture which had it look far more like a structure.

This is what I believe the finished work will look like, I can't help but think that people are falling out over someone's lack of photoshop ability.

Could the problem of bare concrete spoiling the look not be rectified by just painting the walls behind the disabled area the same colour as the seats?

Maybe all the disabled could come dressed as seats, that would be good and seems to work at Selhurst.

right, i must be stupid....but the 'better' image taken from the official council plans looks EXACTLY the same as the mock up to me.

What's the difference!? It's just in a narrower frame so u can see the gaps to the side...

The mock up must be a true representation of the final look, you only have to count the blocks shown on the black and white mock up (five) and how many blocks the east lower has (7 with two half blocks) to see it is correct.

The picture you have posted cuts off a total of two complete blocks as well as the small blocks at each end.

So long as it looks something like this, then I'm well happy.

The seats in front and behind the disabled area on the plans are not in the mock-up.
The mock-up looks like the area has an elevation, which would block the view of the seats adjacent to the area, hence why teh initial reaction was that it was a hospitality area, because it looked walled and enclosed in the mick-up.

They're the differences to my eye anyway.

The mock-up and the plans are the same. The 3 rows in front and 6 rows behind are clearly visible in the mock-up. So it still looks bobbins.

 I'm aware the picture I used isn't the full width  However is does show more seats below and above the disabled areas, and that is how I imagine it will look. I would be very surprised if after all the wonderful work that has been done so far we were left with the 'portakabin' effect!!

It's actually a pretty hit-and-miss mock-up.

The outer wings are 17 rows deep. The 'gap' is 8 rows. In other words, front to back, it's 3 rows of seats, then an 8 row gap, then 6 rows of seats. That mock-up seems to imply the gap is much more.

Yeah sorry, I realise you’re not stupid! I take you point about the seating above and below the gap for disabled spectators, I reckon the effect will be more like a letter box at either end of the main seating rather than a big void like the photoshop effort shows.

Either way it will be a huge improvement on the current East stand!

Wonder if the club ever imagined that the little picture would be analysed in quite this detail on here

Somebody must have done this one before they decided to hand over half the stand for disabled seats. There's not even any porta cabins. :lolol:
