I have noticed a huge number of new memebers on NSC that have registered over the last few months....

Are people really that superficial that they are only interested in Brighton now they are 4th and have a new ground?

Why didn't you guys register years before?

Just curious....not a dig

I had been reading NSC occasionally with nothing to say. It was only when I joined the iphone gang, I had easier access so decided to register. Still not got much to say though!

I think there's a difference between going to see Brighton, following their results etc, but being really excited about how they're doing and wanting to go onto a forum to discuss the excitement.

I think I started coming here more often when we looked like we'd sign some players, so I got rumours and updates here. I didn't post here much before then.

I didn't know of this site and had never bothered looking for a football forum, although I did frequent a golf forum. Only joined here after starting a new job and a mate (known him for years) that works with me mentioned this site. Now it is a part of everyday life, sadly.

I think most people read this place before they eventually join.

I visited NSC on an off for 12-18 months before I finally signed up.

I browsed for about 18 months before plucking up the guts to register.

I still think as myself as a newbie. Some people were on NSC's predecessor message boards before the beginning of time.

I don't think it has happened recently because we are 4th although I did notice an influx of new members at the end of last season/beginning of this season. (I don't think that sentence is even in English but I really can't be bothered to sort it out, sorry)

I was a fan for years before I even came here. Signing up to NSC and becoming a brighton fan aren't intrinsically linked. Just because people are only now signing up, doesn't mean they've only just become brighton fans.

Even if they have, so what? The money they spend that helps finance the club is worth the same as the money a long term fan spends. Their voice is as heartening to the players as those who went to gillingham. Every single club will have increased crowds the higher up and more successful a club becomes. Get over it.

A fair few of our new members this season have been people looking to either buy or sell spare tickets.

I know this because if their accounts are verified quickly, I tend to get an email begging for them to be activated. I'm often tempted to ignore those for a while (but don't) as it doesn't feel quite right that they have no real interest in contributing to the community, but just want to strike a deal.

I only registered because I knew the whereabouts of someone people were looking for due to a bereavement.

Had been reading for years though.

Chill son... don;t take it personally... no one is having a go... just noticed a lot of new 2011 and 2012 members and i was wondering why the sudden influx... and a few people have answered it maturally... Checking up on the progress of the amex, chatting to people about the site etc etc...

It's all i am Acker no need to be a keyboard warrior
