How many late winning goals does it take...

...for the early leavers to quit the early leaving?

Are they dumb or something - surely if it's 0-0 at 85 mins at The Amex, you now know to stay firmly fixed in your seat till the final whistle is blown?

I understand there are a few that have genuine reasons for needing to leave early but the majority of them must be doing it for convenience.

100% agree. It hasn't been AS bad recently but how people can pay for a ticket and then not stay until the very end is beyond me. Got forced to do it for I think the first time ever the other wk (was going for some beers with mates who insisted we went Cecil - thanks) for the Brizzle game. I felt dirty and didn't like sharing a train with others who'd left early  Was only with 2 mins of stoppage time to go mind.

Also annoying when the team do a mini lap of honour to clap the fans and there's only about 5k of us left in there at times :moo::moo::moo:

Sod them. They've missed some of the best moments of the season by leaving early, but serves them right. I haven't left early once and always manage to get from the WSL to the station and onto the 17.06 to Brighton, no problems.

Will never understand those that leave early.

Do you think they also leave early when going to:
the cinema
a restaurant
their own brithday party
a wedding

Why Why Why???????
If they haven't realised by now maybe they never will!

Had to do it for the first (and hopefully last) time at the Newcastle match. If the goal had been a minute later I'd have missed it!

"I pay my money I'll leave when I want"
"Transport is a nightmare"
"Kids need to get home to bed"

Bullshit excuses, all of them. For a 3pm Saturday kick off there is f*** ALL excuse for leaving early. Your kids do not need to get up for school the next day, and the latest they'll be home is 7 anyway, even if you stay for an hour afterwards. Transport isn't as bad now, much better organised, and the 'I pay my money' is the one that pisses me off the most. It's not actually an answer for why they're leaving. It's not actually justification for missing late goals like Donny, Forest or Leicester. We live in Worthing and we regularly stay for 45 mins-an hour afterward, comfortably get a train back to Brighton and then pop on one westbound and we're home by half 6/7pm.

We can say "it's their loss, they miss late goals" and JLEs can say "I don't care, I need to get home so I'll take the risk" but the reality is if you're not going to use your seat for the whole game I'm sure there will be someone who does want it, can rarely get a ticket, and will stay to clap the team off at the end. Fast becoming my greatest annoyance, because it's not just the odd one or two people, the aisles are crammed with apparently rapturously busy people positively POURING out on 87 minutes. Idiots the lot of 'em. Rant over.

There are more threads about people leaving early than there are people leaving early each week. And that's a fact.

It all smacks of 'I'm a better fan than you because I stay until the end.' Still, if it makes them feel better about themselves, you/I don't have to read it.

Sorry, if I'm repeating what's already been said. I'm not on here constantly so rather than go through and see what else had been posted, I just thought I'd say it myself.

I was chatting with a couple of Leicester fans on the train home about it, and they agreed that it looked ridiculous, and they'd only ever contemplate leaving a game early if they were 3-0 down or more. I, personally, wouldn't even do that.

If CMS can come back on the pitch after the final whistle, after being subbed and applaud all 3 stands, then we should all be there to return that applause.

It's nothing to do with that, I would never try and claim to be a better fan than anyone for this, or any other, reason. It's about how we're being perceived by other clubs for having so many that leave early, and about supporting our team right to the end of the game, as surely that is the reason why we're there?

There's a Search box in the top-right corner. Try it with an obvious word - in this case "leaving".

I don't leave early, but who gives a f*** what other clubs think?

Oh ffs, I don't leave early, but I have mates who have to. One of the has work every Saturday starting at somewhere between 5:30 and 7. He still makes every home game, when sometimes it would be easier to not go at all. Jesus wept.

Why does anyone really give a shit? I don't leave early personally but then I get to see late goals. Those that do, don't. Doesn't bother me.
