Better not mention the time it takes to queue up for a p*ss in the WSU at half time then!

I think the club need to come out and say that they are either happy with the catering, or not.

If they are happy then the increasing number of fans can continue to look elsewhere, if not then best they do something about it.

What we need is an additional catering company to compete for our money, as at present Azure have got a free reign.

This was not my experience, nor ever has been... yesterday we arrived in WSU concourse about 14:25... average queue was 4-5 people... served in less than 10 minutes with two chicken pies, a balti pie, a tea, a pint of Harveys and a diet pepsi... happy days!

I have no idea what all the fuss is about.

to be fair to US, I think he has some valid points. I got out on the stroke of half time yesterday to buy 3 pints with pies and some wine gums. I was 3rd in the queue. It took 10 minutes for me to get to the front and when I did, the lady was polite but bloody useless and slow. I felt sorry for the guys behind me as it took at least 5 minutes for her to fill my order. Not enough experience. Twice somebody had to be called over to help her as she didn't know where the wine gums button was.

I have never had a problem in the WSU. No veggie burgers but had to settle for a pie instead which is no great problem, didn't have to queue too much either, only delayed by someone ordering two Harvey's which had to be fresh poured.

I think the hyperbolic response to the catering on this board is ridiculous, I haven't had a problem at any game, and there were mobile Harveys units in the WSU.

Had to queue for 10 mins in the WSL after the game but I wasn't in a hurry so no problem, then went to Dicks and got served a fresh coffee very promptly.

The WSU has improved a lot since the start of the season. The 'Beer & Pie' stall is well organised and the only problem is that they sometimes sell out of one type of pie - so people wait until they are replenished. I don't queue at the kiosk any more but the one in the North after the game is very well organised, with the beers pre-poured. Yesterday we waited about 5 mins to be served, ordered 3 pints of Harveys, and they were in our hands 30 seconds later.

I don't know what arrangements they have in the East but perhaps they could use the West & North as an example.

It was apparent that the usual "university student" staff weren't there yesterday, presumably still on holiday. I have always found them friendly, helpful and efficient (East Stand anyway). Yesterday the outlets were manned by short notice staff, many of whom hadn't used the tills before, and some who were, simply, not up to the job. Hopefully the situation will improve for the next game.

They need to put BURGER VANS outside!

I don't think they would as they want people to eat in the concourses, hence the problem. Happy days for the bloke with the van at the station though !. I may investigate getting a pitch there to prop up my ailing mortgage broking existance and offer a " Spielberg Special " burger.

Couldn't disagree more - Yesterday I went for a pie @ half time and queued up for no longer than 5 mins (WSU C Section) and the person who served me was quick and friendly; I couldn't ask for more :)

The service at the c block end of wsu has improved massively, told the young lady who served me yesterday to please pass my thoughts on

I'm also in the East and agree with US's points - I often get to the ground around 1430 but tend to find that they've sold out of Harveys by the time I get to the front of the queue, and it's a lottery whether or not there are pies available. The queues take a good 15 minutes to get from back to the front, at best. I've started using the kiosk at the far end next to the South, but this doesn't seem to serve alcohol, so now I just enjoy a Bovril and then head into the North afterwards for a drink to avoid the train crowds.

we have never had a problem in the North, apart from they sometimes run out of balti pies. We usually go in at about 2.15.

One thing Gareth, have you sent a similarly worded rant to the club? That are probably better placed to respond, rather than the piss-taking bastards on here.

Good idea mate. Someone else also suggested this.

Amex Catering reached a shocking unacceptable low yesterday- someone from the club please read.

The catering at the Amex has always been at best poor, not the food so much as the staffing and service.

Yesterday before the game there were queue's 20 deep with 3 queue's per area and 4 areas, thats a potential 240 paying customers at any one moment.

The service was shockingly slow taking about 2-3 minutes per person. Therefore at the back of the queue if you are lucky it is taking 20-30 minutes to reach the front, maybe longer. Because of this you are LOSING paying customers, revenue for the club and profit is walking away with a dissatsified potential customer.

Because it is now so BAD a lot of people don't even bother anymore. Does the club know that lots of people have decided to give up eating at the ground and are stopping at the burger bar at the station instead ?

I have noticed his queue's are getting much larger each game at the burger bar. I don't know how you get a licence but there is a golden opportunity to print money there. It is LOST money for BHAFC.

The quality of the food was shocking. The Christmas pie was an abomination and was only chosen as the Steak , Chicken and Ham, Balti and even Vegetarian pies had all run out by 2.45 pm.

Also Harvey's had run out and the only choice was Fosters, horrible. The Harvey's stand alone kiosks, normally 3, were nowhere to be seen.

You need to sort this out and FAST. If 2000 people a game do not bother now at an average spend of £ 5 a head , thats £ 10000 a game and nearly a quarter of a million pounds lost revenue each season for the club.

The staffing is, sorry, very poor. It is mainly students and people with NO catering experience or customer service levels or bar experience. You need some older and wiser heads to run the show, maybe a catering manager for each area who has experience and can organise each area to run smoothly and efficiently by directing the staff and prioritising what needs to be prepared ready for drinking and consumption.

The Amex stadium and experience is wonderful but this is a MAJOR dropping of the ball by BHAFC so can someone who is in charge of this aspect get to grips with this problem NOW.

Many thanks.

Thats what i said MONTHS AGO but got shouted down?:moo:

North stand appeared to move well enough, but then I mainly go to see the match. I will say this though. I feel that there could be a snake made, like the Post Office or bank etc, which may speed up the process. the other issue I would make improve is one entrance and one exit for the male toilet. Possibly the last item, us as supporters could arrange this by ourselves.

So in summary it seems to be that there are few problems with catering in WSU and the North, but loads in the East.

Has Elliott Moore replied to your email highlighting your concerns, Gareth?

Will advise Al.
