Who on here can honestly say they would rather have Hoskins than Murray? And Barnes for that matter.

I think it's hard to say at the moment as we haven't seen enough of Hoskins yet. But his attitude is clearly better than Murray's, and Gus clearly rates him higher so that is good enough for me. Don't get me wrong, it's a shame we lost Murray as he is a good player, but I think we have more than adequately replaced him.

I notice you don't mention CMS, have you admitted that you would rather have him than Murray?

Me, defnitely. Barnes scoring 5 goals this season already proves that. He may not be a better player than Murray but his job in the team is to score goals and 5 this season already suggests he's quite good at it. Hoskins is still somewhat of an unknown quantity as he has only played 10 minutes, but again he looks like he will fit the bill perfectly. The other thing to take into account is that Murray clearly wasn't popular with the other players for whatever reason and that will have played a part in Gus not trying too hard to keep him.

Is every thread on NSC going to be infested by bloody Palace fans? I'm all for fans from other clubs coming on to the site but do Palace fans have the right to turn every thread into a tedious name calling "My Dad's bigger than your Dad" binfest? it's so tedious.

Well why do you have so many threads which basically just insult Palace fans by trying to label us as ""travellers" (the polite term)? Puerile is the term that springs to my mind.

This is the www, we are entiitled to counteract any insults your more juvenile-minded support dream up. I know there are a lot of sensible Albion fans on here, but they just seem to let the chav element run riot.

In terms of goal scoring, yes. I think we should all agree the best possible conbination would be Murray and CMS, i think they'd be a great match.

When you win something then start talking commander you muppet.

We won something last year. When was the last time you won something without doing it by spending money you didn't have and ending up in administration again?

You are on the slide and you know it. You cannot deny that. You've had your time in the sun, yes you had it by cheating and spending money you didn't have, but you still had it. It must have been great. But sorry, it's our turn now.

I'm frankly happy to be having these conversations - rather than worrying about a tricky trip to torquay and watching Derek Allan get the run around from the stewards let alone the opposition.

Im far happier getting into a slanging match with the nigels about whose going to come out top in a Championship derby in front of 22,000 in our new ground than watching us get beat by Barnet at Gilingham on bonfire night in front of 900 people.

But of course - I hope we stuff the bastards.

Nope, I really can't remember the last time we won a title.

What's it like in the bottom half of the league anyway? Must be pretty gutting that Southampton are a million miles ahead of you in terms of quality again

Don't understand that comment about us being on the slide. Care to elaborate?

We all know Murray is good. He got us promoted with his goals last season. Palace have done well to get him I think.

I don't think anyone can deny that. But Barnes and CMS seem to be working pretty well as well, I don't think CMS and Murray would have done any better.
