I'm sure Mark Bright is absolutely delighted that all Leroy Rosenior's comments are being attributed to him :lolol:

edit: Unless I'm getting confused and he was on another version of the programme...

That's why I am saying I don't actually remember him saying anything bad about the Amex. I know he mixed up the away end with opposition, hence what I originally said 4 posts up. And is why I am genuinely asking if I missed something.

Its not about painting the changing room grey, in fact its not about the away team at all but the away fans. They want to make the Amex the kind of place away fans WANT to visit, Brighty seems to this there's no point. I.e "Why welcome away fans?!"

He didnt say anything "bad" but not a lot positive either, he had his Palarse head on and basically was trying to find negatives as oppossed to saying what a great ground, club derserves it after what they have been through etc etc....the bit that got me when he was that desperate to find anything negative was "even the mascot has his own changing room whats all that about" Im sorry but the bloke is a twat, always was and always will be.

Yeah it seems Mark Bright was on the London & SE version and Leroy on South, SW & West. And both said remarkably similar things it seems, almost like it was pre-scripted...

Er, he DID say we're a great team, what more do you want for f***'s sake? Everything about the stadium was quite clearly tongue-in-cheek. What a precious bunch you are.

Wasn't it Ainsworth who said that? It doesn't really matter... Praise for the team is great to hear. It just wasn't a particularly positive post "bit" comments section.

I think we are all confused. Odd though that two different people said much the same thing about the away end then. So it was not the spontaneous comment that the BBC would have us believe. Yes, odd that. But it was a pretty positive view of the stadium (and almost a view from my seat - kept playing that bit back)

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
I watched the Bright version last night (who did say a fair bit more than Rosenior) and the Rosenior version this morning (who got confused with welcoming fans to welcoming the opposition team ie grey walls)
The Bright version (London & SE) also had Ferret on talking about the 1-0 Palace game and betting. Bright's face was a picture.

Mark Chapman So new stadium, new crest. Brighty, I watched that and thought; lots of good ideas, that looks like a great stadium to go and visit and you were so cynical while we were watching that...

Mark Bright Because, Martin Perry saying "Look at the away end," It's not about the away end and the away fans, treating them to a nice day out. Just make sure they've got good facilities.

MC But it makes good business sense, business wise it works.

MB But is it though? The mascot has got its own changing room for crying out loud. What is that all about?

MC They're just making sure everything is covered. It is a modern way of running a football ground.

MB They [the away fans] want to feel like they're going to an away ground. Pictures up around of their local heroes? No. They want to feel like they're going to get behind their team. Maybe it's psychological? Make them relax? Don't start to boo or cheer. Maybe that's the way they are planning it?

I realise i sound like a GIRL here but...

Its not so much WHAT he said but the sheer ARROGANCE in the way in which he went about it.

He may have a valid point (i dont think he does personally) about making the away fans feel welcome but he went about it the wrong way.

Ainsworth raised the same issue but in a much better, more articulate manner.

And WHAT THE HELL does Gully having a place to change have to do with ANYTHING? IDIOT.
