Home to Pompey (a couple of weeks back), just before half-time made me laugh out loud. That doesn't happen often watching footy.

My mate Dave going through the asbestos roof of a ladies lavatory at the Goldstone (accidentally).

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Beckham bashing his head on the dugout before he came on for his debut against us in the League Cup at the Goldstone - god that seems a long time ago !

It doesn't show the head banging. Replaced the future Albion legend, Kanchelskis. I remember queuing for hours to secure tickets for that game

I was quite young, so my memory is a bit sketchy, but think it was a cup game against palace at the goldstone. The pitch was frozen in one corner. At one stage of the game the ball got booted into that corner, every player that went after that ball ended up falling over. I also think that later in the game some fans ran onto the pitch and fell over in that corner too. Anyone else remember this, or did I just dream it?

Pretty sure it was a Zenith Data Systems cup match that Palace won 2-0.

I've posted this before:

Goldstone, Kevin Keegans last ever match - pre match warmup, me and my mate standing by the half way line a few rows back from the front, fences still up between us and the pitch. Alan Ball warming up right in front of us, Keegan doing same a few yards on the pitch.

A group of young BHA supporting kids waving their Autograph books thru the fence:

Kids: Alan, Alan come over here will ya?
Alan (walking towards kids): Yes kids, what can I do for you? (expecting to be asked for autograph)
Kids: Take this over to Kevin and get him to autograph it for us will ya?
Alan: (visibly shocked and dissapointed) F*ck off! (runs away)

Cue much laughter from grown-ups and visible consternation from kids!

Twat! Would it have killed him to be generous? :wrong: Funny as f*ck though!

At the Goldstone, during the 63/64 season (I think), our keeper was about to take a goal kick from the South end, and all the players were running back up the pitch towards the North Stand. Bill Cassidy picked the ball up while most of the players and the ref weren't looking, shoved it under his shirt and carried on running up the pitch with the other players.
When the ref turned round to watch the kick he couldn't find the ball and had to go round asking where it was. Everyone was in stitches and credit to the ref, even he saw the funny side.

I quite enjoyed Zamoras goal away at Chesterfield when he kicked it out the keepers hands. 1-0 smash and grab against our fiercest rivals that season!

Away to Palace. Not sure if it was the Kelvin Morton penalty game, but it was around that time. About 10 mins to go and away to our right a Palace fan was making his way out of the ground, but stopped on the steps to hurl some abuse at us. We reacted, and he upped the ante, to the point where a couple of Her Majestys finest started making their way over to him. On seeing this we were cheering and goading him all the more, and he was reacting even more. As they got closer, we got louder and he was going crazy. Leaping around, hand gestures, screaming at the top of his voice, thinking we were reacting to him, and not his impending arrest, of which he was blissfully ignorant of.

Finally, the old bill reached him, and grapped him. The look of shock on his face, the re-signed body language, all greeted by huge cheers from us in the away end, as he was slowly led away. Tremendous fun. I laughed all the way home thinking about that one.
