In response to the most hated thread, it must be pointed out that there are some true gents amongst the dicks in the game we love.

For me, Phil Neville has always come across very well, as has Brad Friedel and for an example closer to home, Nicky Forster :albion2:

Yours?

I always quite liked Graeme Le Saux (this will be controversial) and Matt Le Tissier. Martin O'Neill was always a gentleman when playing, as was Gary Lineker.

Graham Taylor, despite being decidedly SHITHOUSE at the very highest level, has always impressed me with the way he treats those around him, the dignified way he conducted himself in the dark days, and has proved himself to be a very capable club manager wherever he's been.

There are actually *loads* of decent blokes playing the game really. Even in the England team amongst the overpaid players at the top end of the game, we have some reasonable people. There is wrong with the likes of Crouch, Heskey, Barry, Hargreaves, Scholes etc is there really?

Don't be fooled by his whiter-than-white TV persona, apparently he's a right wanker in real life. Though his missus is an A1 SAWT so respect for that.
Is that right? I know he's f***ed about a bit, which is hardly a surprise and hardly makes him a bad person. Right kids?

I've done a fair bit of work with BBC folk in the past, on swimming and athletics OBs, and he is UNIVERSALLY hated.
