The Tories will scrape home, just beating a hastily formed Lib Lab pact when it becomes obvious that a Labour party featuring ineffectual gimps like Gormless Brown and Harlet Harboy cut no ice with the electorate. The excitement generated by the Lib Lab thing v the Tories will squeeze out two bob thicky parties like the BNP, who will be popped safely back in their box.

They will then be utter shithouse for years with the usual array of posh wet lettuce front benchers, and they won't change anything except for making massive cuts and blaming Labour for it. Gareth will still be selling 6 mortgages a month in 2013 and it'll still be Gordon Brown's fault.

I would be delighted to arrange 6 mortgages a month. I am running on about 2-3 a month for the last 18 months.

Not a Republican,Clapham i just happen to think the electorate should decide who is P/M. I did not agree how Major was chosen or how M/P,s mainly in the 80,s dumped Labour for the Liberal/SDP. As it happens i think the Libdems have made a major error to drop the tuition fees pledge. To be fair they were the first to propose the system of recall and along with their questioning of Afghanistan,HAD IT NOT BEEN THE TUITION FEE RETREAT they may have got my vote, and i believe quite a few others ? Labour can say what they like but it has to be paid for and most employed people are paying out enough already. Lets be real MONEY is not the problem it is how it is spent.

Say it enough times and people will believe it. Just cos Brown tells you it is not necessarily true.

I don’t need Gordon Brown to keep telling me. I have the Tory party itself i.e one of its own MEPs that says the NHS was a 60 year mistake. Maybe a maverick, but probably speaks for a lot of Tories.

Plus, why did the Tories starve the NHS and Education of funds during their 18 years in power? Probably to starve of it resources and for it to be so decrepid that people have no choice but to go privately…….a slow death, but a death nonetheless.

Mandelson's speech was far more powerful than Brown's imo.

So you based your whole rationale on what a maverick or prick would be a better word says. Because he says it ALL tories are evil bastards just waiting and salivating at the thought of coming into power and closing all the hospitals down. Still as I say if you peddle the lie enough I suppose some mugs may believe it.

Unfortunately, Blair p****ed on the Liberals last time around after winning the landslide,

Ashdown and others should have been in the Cabinet.

This time why should the Liberals trust Labour>

Unless Labour vows for PR, which will be good for Politics, abalanced electoral system and more consensus.

What is needed is the REgionalisation

if, not the localisation of health, with more democratic acountability, meeting the needs of local people, only that way will be get improved facilities, more local caring heathcare' and less bureaucrats absorbing half the NHS budget

see israel and italy's countless changes of government for the reasons that this is not the case, if you want the BNP and lots of other fringe single interest parties to be able to hold governments to ransom, then proportional representation is the way to go.

The UK electorate have NEVER chosen their Prime Minister.

They choose the local representative in Parliament, that is all.

The party with the most seats may (but not always0 be invited by the monarch to form the next government if it can.

All the government appointments are appointed by .... errrrrrr ...... the government

Tell you what, I'd love to see one of these US-style live televised debates between the leaders of the parties in the run up to and during the general election next year. Browns up for it apparently.

Total bollocks as usual, nothing original and proving once again he wants to follow in Blair's foosteps and also save the world rather than just sorting out the f***-up he's made of the UK economy - useless f***:shootself
