Stewards are trained in how to spot potential troublemakers and those who have had a drink (glazed eyes , staggering , misdemeanour) , if they take a dislike to you then you wont get in.

look i wasnt drunk or staggering ok , its just some ex trolly dolly steward decided he didnt like look of me and said ... i can't let you go in. bang outta order if you ask me !!!

The stewards have NO sense of humour and your comment would not very wise to say the least under the circumstances. However I would just put it down to experience.

Writing to complain will make no difference as you smelt of booze and your comment.

That is not on. I had to stand next to a drunk twat at Orient and it was pathetic, he was a disgrace. I like a drink, but I can't stand the people who get pissed before a match. Absolute joke, no sympathy for anyone who is drunk at football.

well im not one to give in to some twat on £5.80 an hour, and trust me ill fight it all trhe way... if i was pissed and staggering around shouting i would understand but i was neither, and if others on here wanna make a joke of it then fair do, but its no joke to me, i paid my money and expect to see a game ..i was denied that by a jobsworth just trying to act big..im sorry lads but put yer selfs in my shoes !
