Are we only starting with 10 players tonight to give them a chance?

Hoping Ashton will get a start tonight. I was disappointed on Wednesday not to see him up front with Rooney (Defoe has had enough chances by now). England need to get back to what we are GOOD at - hustle and bustle, and a big fucker up front. Ashton could fit that role. He's got a decent touch as well.

I'll be watching, but only because it will kill some time until the other thing I want to watch starts.

We could give it a go... I missed out a left back. Personally I would go for Bridge as I think he is better than cole and needs to move club teams to play regular football. I don't think Warnock is the future.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
I will probably watch it with sleep mode activated.

Nothing to do with not qualifying or the quality of our play, but I have never really cared less about England than I do now. I have usually been left gutted by our non-qualification or getting knocked out of the tournament, but since (and including) Euro 2000 I have cared less and less.

I can't bring myself to cheer on players like Neville or Ferdinand or Terry or Gerrard. Indeed, I felt a slight warm glow when we fell on our arses at the super arena our glorious FA built on time and within the budget.

PS Why do 'we' insist on paying the most for a coach AND dish out the longest contracts? Surely it should be one or the other?

I thought I was over us not qualifying.
Then I looked at the groups for Euro 2008 in my paper today, and the games and TV schedules coming up for it all, and I started to get all gutted again. I thought about having a little cry in the toilet, but I'm ok again now.

Next Saturdays going to be tough though.

I'll be fast asleep by then. I doubt I'll miss much.

It had better be an exciting match or I will probably doze off...was woken by the birds at 430am and couldn't get back to sleep...then a magpie started off one about an hour later and that was pretty much it until I got up at 700am...I suspect my sofa with the sleep inducing powers will strike anyway.

I'm quite enjoying the NOVELTY of having a live England match to watch on a (late-ish) Sunday night. I've bought some peeled prawns especially.

I suggest you do not waste your time watching 10 over paid over rated Bellends ( Beckham excluded ) playing shite football run by a negative Italian manager. Watch Field of Dreams instead that would be a better way of spending 2 hours.

The most curious thing..
Shouldn't we be playing Trinidad & Tobago at cricket rather than football?

If that is the team, I assume we are not starting with the England first XI (whatever that may be these days)
