The number of apprehensions doesn't necessarily have a one to one relationship with the numbers entering though, and if it did there wouldn't be any point in spending more money on enforcement as it would just encourage more people to enter.

If the UK police change their process and leadership, and increase the number of burglars they apprehend five fold, does this mean that there are five times more burglaries (resulting from the change of leadership)?
When we brought in speed cams and caught loads more people speeding was this due to a massive increase in the number of people speeding after the introduction of speed cameras?
Would you argue that the thousand fold increase in illegal channel crossings in the last several years is because people smugglers think that under the Tories, Britain has become a soft touch for illegal immigrants? That the Tories are welcoming illegal immigrants with the promise of free accommodation? Even I, who loath the Tories, don't think this. The numbers have gone up because after Brexit we stopped co-operating with the French and the French now don't bother much over boats leaving their shores. The way the borders are managed has changed. There is a clue for you in there somewhere.
As for the sorry state of 'our' inner cities (I presume you mean American), I remember visiting East Orange 30 years ago and was appalled how the inner city area of Newark were a desolate crumbling wasteland of poverty and neglect. Then I discovered this is simply part of the American process. We in the UK then started seeing similar white middle class flight from inner cities. And then it all went the other way, with Hoxton going from home of the Krays to home of the Fins. And so on. This has nothing to do with illegal immigrants.
And yet.....I presume you are attempting to equate an up-step in urban decline (is there one?) with an up-step in the influx of illegal immigrants under Biden (is there an up-step? You have shown no data. What I have seen is a decline). You then somehow link this to the sad passing of the previous Top Work of Trump. Sorry mate, but that narrative is krunk. If you want to believe six impossible things before breakfast, then at least try to make them inspirational.

It’s 10 months away from the election so I don’t put too much weight on polls yet (that can have as much as 6% margin of error) and influencing factors on how people respond can change.
Neither Trump nor Biden are popular among the American electorate (for different reasons) so turnout could be a big issue. Biden is clearly losing the battle on frailty and mental fitness as well as for his support for Israel.

Yep, Biden not stepping aside for a younger candidate could be electoral suicide for the Dems and although generally very rare that a sitting President is challenged by his own party in running for a second term, I’m astounded that he has not been advised against running again given he now has the second lowest approval rating of any President in US History:
