Second best for most of the game, luckily Reading were terrible in front of goal, and McGill atoned for his own cock- ups a couple of times. Reading pens were mostly hilariously bad. Joe Knight is going to be some player……..
Yes Reading missed so many chances, but we had a few of our own and we had a stronger 2nd half.

Some good performances I thought from McGill ( odd mistake playing out), Hinchy, the defence generally did well given the pressure they were under and the subs Knight and Smith looked useful.

It’s a tough ask for a young and inexperienced u21 team to beat league 1 and 2 teams. In particular it’s tough physically and the youngsters will always be vulnerable from set pieces but we did well.

Incredibly composed on the ball, strong in the tackle and looks technically very good at least.
Off to Chelsea, with Harry Howell, for £500m in the summer :lolol:

There were probably slightly more tinpot than Albion and no segregation on the concourse but their seats were all on the south end of the west stand and we were the north end.
Although I accidentally found myself sat with the Reading crowd on the south end (with a few other Albion dotted about). Could have moved, but thought it might be fun just to stay where I was. Rewarded in the end when our 15 year old No.95 strolled up and slotted in the winning penalty. Fair to say, some of my neighbours were APOPLECTIC with rage. 😅😅😅

Hinshelwood’s cousin! There's a fact that will be oft quoted for years perhaps.

Guy rather spoils it when he says 'quite the bloodline' when theres no bloodline, but fun none the less
There's a bloodline from the great grandfather Wally for both of them

Us, come on Crawley tomorrow and please can we draw them
Crawley would be great at their place (not Moonbase Alpha) but less likely as the Reds have been playing a genuine second team in this competition as they have bigger fish to fry in their play-off chase. Of course dunno what team Posh will put out but being at home you’d think a bit stronger, never mind their higher league status

So one lower League One team and two League two teams left, apart from our U21s....

This is there for the taking. Time to further make history in the competition formerly known as the Paint Pot Trophy? ???
There are 3 more last 16 matches tonight and the last match of the round on Thursday 18th :

Blackpool v Burton
Accrington v Bolton
Peterborough v Crawley
Doncaster v Wigan
