We've got to be honest, the SPL is miles from the EPL.

Undav looked the real deal in Belgium, and again in Germany. He hardly pulled up any trees in the Premier League. It really is another level. That's what makes it so impressive that Enciso, Adingra, Ferguson etc have slotted in so seamlessly.
Adingra ? Hmmm

5 goals and 3 assists so far this season across all competitions. Sure he's blown hot and cold at times, but considering he's 21 and it's his first season playing at this level I think he's doing well. Especially considering he's having to cover for the loss of Solly too, so he's probably had to play a lot more football than we wanted him to at this stage of the season.

Fully appreciate that, just wouldn’t put him in the same bracket as the other 2. Given we are a very attacking team probably expected a little bit more from him that’s all

Sorry, but I simply don’t agree about Undav (the SPL I do). 😃

What is fair to say is that he struggled for half a season, and then as soon as he got a run, he was very good.

IMO he is exactly what we need at the moment, and his touch and weight of pass was very good.

As has been reported, he was homesick, so the loan was the right move for him.

Very fair.

For me the part of his game he needs to work on is the defensive side, he is very poor at tracking back.

Frankly, I’m just pleased he’s still fit!

Still think you are being a little bit unfair on the lad, Adingra deserves to be mentioned alongside the likes of Fergie and Julio Enciso when we talk about young players settling in to the team.

Enciso last season got 4 goals and 3 assists, he took some time to really get up to speed and got the benefit of being able to be eased in gradually. Adingra hasn't had that because of our injuries, he's already played 300 more mins of Premier League football than Enciso did last season. He's got aspects he needs to work on, he could have done with a development path for the season similar to what we gave Julio last season but he's been thrown into the deep end somewhat. Still a very good return for a first season here.

Adingra did get a full season at USG including European football though right ? And 3 of his goals were against Sheffield Utd, Burnley & Luton. Like I say he’s been good, but I hope there’s more to come especially in bigger games

Full season for Simon Adingra and he was Union's top scorer in Belgian competitions with 15 goals. Victor Boniface was Union's top scorer overall with 11 in European competition and 11 in the Belgian league and cup.

With March out god knows how long and now Mitoma down and Adingra being flogged to death, it's our wide players we need to recall from their loans. I've a feeling Pedro is going to end us being wasted there

And the other two goals were against Liverpool and Ajax, not bad opposition to score against.

Undav's stock has definitely increased since being absent from our team. I remember a certain Percy Tau who was also hyped up while out on loan, only to return to make zero impact.

I think Undav is a decent finisher and he'd be a good option with our threadbare squad, but the level of hype by some in this thread is unrealistic.

Adingra is playing out of his position when played on the left he’s a different player. I expect him to play on the left against Spurs and Pedro on the right how he finished the Marseille game.

There is simply no comparison with Percy Tau, who after an initial bright start in Div 2 of the Belgian league, struggled at top level.

Undav was the leading scorer at the top level in Belgium, when he got a run had a better than decent record in the PL, and is now playing well in Germany.

We’ll have to differ on this. 😃👍

Ajax are not a good side though. My point was his goals have been against lower quality sides
I bet you never thought you'd say that 20 years ago.

I see Fabio Silva has joined the Gers on loan for the rest of the season - maybe a return in the offing for Sima?
