Yep, as per usual fans are at the bottom of a football governing body list of priorities SHOCK. It isn't possible to advance draw the R16 due to the complications of who you can/cannot play based on group winners and same country. It becomes a straight draw from the quarter final.

They should be. Draw the playoffs first and then draw the seed the winner will play against. You can then hold hotels and maybe even a cancellable flight to both destinations. This wouldn't work due to Association blocking, ie. playing teams from the same association in the R16

They could easily change that though and make the draw in advance with the associations restriction in place - such that if Roma/Milan can't play Atalanta in R16 then whoever is drawn against them in the PO can't either. Makes it so that Feyernoord and Rennes can't face 2 teams from the same country in succession as well, which improves things. I think?

Maybe, but the whole draw could have been different when Lens were selected as opposed to 4 balls there would have been 5 given we're not French, therefore we could have been picked out at that stage

Doesn't really matter in the great scheme of things. I'm just glad we're still under the radar in Europe, given that before the draw, when asked for an outsider the footballer picked West Ham.
