If you set up an auction with rules, then the players, Bayen, Pool and Chelsea agreed with the terms set. You honour the auction. Your suggestion that we disrespect Liverpool (all the while the bid is live) is abysmal.

We set up an auction with rules? I missed that. Was it televised? I assumed we just told everyone that expressed an interest to get offers in by Thursday night because our priority is not to have our season screwed by clubs unsettling our players. Good on Liverpool for piling in with a decent bid from the off but if they can’t then persuade the player to sign, that’s entirely their issue. They still have that opportunity. It only becomes unreasonable if Chelsea offer, say, £115m but Moises suddenly decides he prefers Anfield after all. In that situation I agree we should honour Liverpool’s initial £111m deal. Not a scenario that looks likely to arise.

Missed 40 pages but I think Liverpool bud £111 mil all in - £31m allegedly above Chelshit. So it’s Liverpool or us for Moises unless Chelscunts match the bid - simple. Supposedly you held an auction with a fixed end time which they won. If you auction something on eBay and then refuse to send it to the winning bidder you will rightly get reported to eBay etc. You should at least pretend to send him to Anfield (mislabel the Evri parcel he's shipped in or something) before selling him to Chelsea.

We can’t send him to Liverpool if he doesn’t want to go there. We’ve accepted Liverpool’s bid and given them the chance to sort out personal terms with the player and his representatives, if agreement isn’t reached no blame falls on Brighton. Once that process falls down Brightons only obligation is to ourselves and what is best for the club.

I can't stand the way they operate, the way I see it is Liverpool have had a bid accepted and the terms deal agreed and are free to contact and negotiate with the player. It seems like Chelsea have had agreements and deals in place with the player/agent for a while. With no deal between Chelsea and yourselves, surely this is a blatant case of tapping up a player?

I really hope any talk of Liverpool considering walking away isn't true. If we walk, Chelsea won't have to beat our offer and we both stand to lose out. Even if it's not meant to be, I hope we make Chelsea's life as hard as possible to get this one over the line.

You will find that despite you lot being a ‘big 6’ club, you’re easily the most liked on here. There’s something about scousers that’s endearing and LFC always strikes me and others as a proper club. Also, many stories on here about when we’ve drawn with you at Anfield etc and nothing but well-wishes from locals. I also think if we were losing Ali Mac and Moises most would say LFC is the best place. They won’t get as much game time at Chelsea - it’s a basket case of a club. The Albion is ran 100x better than them. Respect
